The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Just working on a full set of colonial marine armour, which is nearly finished. However, I realise I'm going to need something to lug this stuff round in when I go to conventions.

So, what does anyone here use for transporting their armour round in?

boring Rubbermaid bins (and equivalent generic brands)
Add foam/bubble wrap as necessary. Not sexy AT ALL, but gets the job done.

This was 2 years ago headed to dragoncon

i made mine so the chest armor comes apart easily and just use a suit case. a lot of 501st and UK judges use the wheeled boxes the b&q sell for about 30 quid

Yeah, for my TK armor I use one of these:

Most of the guys use the taller one, but my armor is small enough, and I don't put my helmet in there.

It's pretty indispensable, especially backstage, on upper floors, or when you're rolling around location cause you don't know where your changing area is yet.

Technically, i could use a soft large duffle, and sling it over my shoulder, but the added protection, and being able to toss it in the boot is another bonus.

Thanks for the link, Red_2 - I'm a 501st TD and have been looking for something like that. That'll be great for the USCM armor (when I can afford it) and my TD armor (when I can once again fit into it...)

No, problemo! Always glad to help out a fellow trooper/soldier/human/etc.

I hope I can make some marine armor one day.
