The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I don't know what to make of that, seems kind of "out there".

Would just prefer more movie characters to be honest!

It's amusing and I even kinda wanna get it, but I agree: more movie characters to finally complete the team of movie Marines would rock way harder.

This figure is amusing, but overall I'm very disappointed. Talk was they had 2 'debut' characters. One proved to be Burke (awesome). I really had my hopes up for Drake or Gorman as the second. Shame they meant a gimmick this whole time. Overall still love the line. They have gone deeper with more characters than I could have expected or asked for, so I'll be happy with what we got. Maybe 2018 finds more actual film character debuts.

Love the idea but why not have him in civvies as the director??? That way they could fit it into their Terminator line too.

They'll probably still do this, considering their penchant for reusing body parts.

And I agree, if doing Cameron means someone else was knocked out of the line-up...someone we would like MORE, then they should have avoided this.

I told them they should make a Gale Anne Hurd fig to match since she's actually in the filml in costume (as Vasquez's stand-n).

If Harrison Ford's likeness can be used for both Han Solo and Deckard figures at the same time by different companies I don't honestly see how this could be an issue ;)

My only complaint with this Cameron figure is that they've sullied his uniform with an Avatar patch. That shit is not cool man.

GAH isn't working on Walking Dead anymore, so that shouldn't be a problem.

True... :?

That said, I like the Canadian flag patch and the (apparently) undecorated armour. I'll probably try and get four or five for customising into more generic Marines.

Picked up Lambert from TRU yesterday. If anyone else is looking for her, be warned that she is the 'short packed' figure. Only 3 Lamberts in each case of 14 figures.

Anyways, I am glad to complete my trio (seen with modified kane)

I do really wish they had given her the worried face with the hair and given the calm face with her space suit headcovering.

Have you mentioned earlier in this thread how you did Kane?

Good question. Don't recall.

In any case, I grabbed a space suit Amanda for half off a little while back. I used her undamaged dome and her head.
I chopped off her face, and stuck on the face from a "Bill" (from kill bill) bootleg I scored cheap.

On close inspection it really doesn't look like Hurt, but through the dome I think its passable.

I'm envisioning a retelling of the movie "Face/Off" lol

Really cool to see!

I picked up the USCM accessory set last night...I LOVE the sentry guns! I wonder what reference material they had at their disposal, there's detail on these that I don't think I've ever seen. Regardless, this set is worth it for the sentry guns alone.

The only problems I see...and they are minor...is that I *think* the guns had a letter on the back indicating "A" gun and "B" gun...or C and D gun, whichever. And they don't rotate at the base...ZERO rotation. Lastly, the little "wings" that help support the gun batteries don't fold in...so don't try it. I almost snapped one off trying to collapse it.

Wait, you can turn them??

But they are f*cking backwards on the tripod! That is insanely stupid. Time to get out your hacksaw...

Are you sure they're not just stuck in place? I could swear I've read about other people rotating theirs the right way around...

Mine are also stuck to the point I'm not sure if they move. I haven't had the time to play with them though. I'll get em turned around one way or the other

I've had limbs of NECA figures jammed with paint. Warm them up in hot water or with a hairdryer and the seal tends to break

Does anyone know what machine gun or equipment tripod they used as the base for the gun? Same goes for the batteries.

I am trying to build a bigger scale model or a life size model of the units.

Hello!
Just a heads up for those concerned about the sentry gun tripod being backwards, you can totally rotate it around to how it's supposed to be with no problems.

Hey knoxvilles_joker, as a detail guy here's a thread I think you're going to love:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15162&hilit=sentry+gun+battery

So the Sentry Gun battery is a military radio (see the link). The tripod seems to have been built just for the film, along with the outer housing covering the machine gun.
