The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello all, Im piecing together my first official USCM and ive ran into the trouble most have with their first time, the BDU's.

I am on a budget after ordering new armor and a new resin Pulse Rifle kit and so on. So authentic BDU's from Spat or someone is completely out of the question. I was looking into Polish Desert BDU's because to my eye its the closest form of camo i can get to the screen used BDU's. All i can currently find is Polish Desert CPU's, not BDU's. From my eye it doesnt look much different from BDU's besides pocket placement which i plan on removing some of the pockets like the bicep ones to make it more like BDU's.

My questions are does anyone have CPU's they use? is it much different?
Also most importantly, is their a place out there that i havent found that supply Polish Desert BDU's??
Pictures of your Polish Desert BDU's with your armor on is a plus too.

I bought the CPUs and had a seamstress convert the collar and relocate the pockets. I needed her to sew patchs on anyway, so it was not a big deal.

It doesn't have any lower pockets, but that hasn't been an issue since I am usually wearing armor with it.

I bought the tactical ones which might be the ones you are talking about. I luv mine as like you said they are the only thing that look close to the real deal off the shelves. they do tend to become hard to find from time to time. if you can get a set then grab them for the time and save up for real deal camies later. they are easy to mod here are pix of mine in and out of armor. hopes this helps.also added one of my fav random luck photo shoots that happened at the right time.

That is the same shirt. Thank you so much man. Yeah I'm pretty sold on this set. I went and ordered them just because they tend to get harder and harder to find. They look really great with the armor. Closest thing I've found instead or the real deal. I'll probably use these for a long long time till I ever buy from Spat or someone. Thank you again man. It's a big help.

Yeah, I haven't seen the BDU shirt for sale since around the time I bought mine 3 years ago (it looks like they only make the BDU shirt in three styles now: Woodland, Olive and 3-Color Desert.) I was able to modify the collar fairly easily myself. I also bought the SFU trousers instead of the CPU ones as they don't have slanted cargo pockets and they're a bit cheaper. They do have a different style main front pocket; the SFUs have more of a horizontal blue-jean type main pocket and the CPUs have more a traditional trouser style slanted pocket. Other than that they are pretty similar. One thing I do like about them both is they have knee pad compartments - I added pads that came out of a pair of motorcycle pants and it helps a lot to keep the leg armor from shifting & slipping down. I also picked up a Polish Desert soft shell jacket (windbreaker) on close-out this past summer; I figured I could use it for some of the various extra USCM patches I have kicking around. :)

And just FYI, I really do like the Helikon Polish Desert camo as I've posted elsewhere, which has inspired me to do a "desert" USCM build with my second Matrix Airsoft PR. I originally purchased the "Tan" version for $250, but they sent me the OD version by mistake; since I'm going to tear it down and repaint it anyway it doesn't really matter what color it is; I just got a better deal on it!
