The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It appears Imperial Toy Company knows a good thing when they see one! They've rebranded our favourite gun (Along with the M1911) in their new "Dart X" toy line! And they're only $3.00 if you find them!

Here's where to look!:
http://www.imperialtoy.com/where_to_buy.jsp

I'm gonna take a look around town next time I go in.

Edit: Thanks to Rimwar, Who found the same gun on the same site under a sub-brand, the "Dart X Clashforce 100" line

Clashforce 100:

I found the M1911s on eBay (branded "Clashforce 120" but also mislisted on eBay as "Clashforce 720". They are slightly different than the ones in the "100" and "Dart X" colourful line) but no VP-70s were found by my google-fu yet.

Clashforce 120 (M1911):

Here is the packaging for the 120's as the eBay listing listed it:

I went in to one of two local Casey's General Stores the other day that have carried the Imperial dart guns in the past and they had the gun in the lower left hand corner in the second photo.

So that's a tiny bit of confirmation that these are out there!

This ties in to an email I just received from Imperial in reply to a message I sent them about tracking these guns down

Here is what it says:

Quote:
Hi Melissa,

Thank you for contacting Imperial Toy. The following stores picked up the item this year.

TruServ Canada
North West Co.
Casey's General stores

Regards

Vartan Chldrian

Quality Assurance | Product Safety | Compliance
Imperial Toy, LLC 16641 Roscoe Place, North Hills, CA 91343 | 818.536.6458 | vartan.chldrian@imptoy.com

When doing some online research into these stores I have found that:

- TruServ has a few different branches:
https://www.truserv.ca/pls/truserv_pub/truserv.app (On the right side of the screen are banners, additionally you can click "Store Locator" to see if you have one of the branches in your area)

I think we still have a TRU Hardware in town but I doubt very much they carry toys. I will definitely check though

- NorthWest Company has a few branch stores as well. Most of them are Canadian, with a handful in either Guam, the Carribean and Alaska:
http://www.northwest.ca/operations/canada.php

Stores listed there are:
Northern
NorthMart
Giant Tiger (We have a couple in places we visit)
Quickstop
Valu Lots
Solo Market

- Casey's General Stores which appears to only be US:
https://www.caseys.com/locations

Maybe this will help us narrow our search!

Well damn. Thanks for digging through this Moosh. Ive been keeping an eye open for these every since this thread first started.

On one hand, its great to know it isn't a wild goose chase and they are actually out there. On the other it is definitely a bummer that no one within 12 hours of me even stocks them. So at least now I can quite stressing the urge to hunt for them.

I've been checking around too, but none of these chains are near me. Still, I'm glad for the update Moosh!

Another message I sent via Facebook just got a reply:

Quote:
Hi Melissa, Thank you for your interest in the darts! We currently don't sell directly to customers. The Clash force can be found at Casey's general store. Thanks!

Might want to check both your Casey's out again Dropshipbob!

Necrobump!

After being reminded by seeing a post in the PX from a member looking for these I thought I'd do more digging.

Found this:

Note how it's now branded as "VP-70" right on the package!

Also take note of the serial number on the bottom right as "7255A", as that should help in searching for this specific style.

I checked one of three Casey's that are in my town yesterday and all they had were the 1911's. I picked up one for a different project and I'll probably need another one. I'll try and check the others soon.

Went to the last two Caseys in my area, all they had were the 1911's and one of those German looking pistols. :(

When painted up these look superb, this is my one, I left the Imperial toys logo on it as I liked the idea of a toy manufacturer making military weapons in the future, also I loved the irony of the 'LOS ANGELES CALIF 90021' with 'made in china' underneath it!
