The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Everyone, meet Kaylee :)

Image

She's been visiting her Uncle Simon for the past few months, initially to have the Remington fitted inside the G&P grenade launcher I bought from Darren.

Just as that job was about done, though... Pesky Si only went and got some real Spas 12 cages and grips.

My wallet wept in despair, and Kaylee jumped for joy.

So, aside from a few little technical tweaks ( Gas tank for shottie maybe... ) and some touch-ups to the paint ( fnarr )..

She be done.

'Hink?

( 7kg BTW - Thank God for Mr Noble )

What're the wires at the receiver/stock end for?

Cheers :)

The wiring's for the Airsoft battery.
The tube's the gas feed for the shottie.

The battery fits very neatly into the vertical section of the stock, actually :)
Was quite a happy coincidence, that.

I've reported you to Rook. Prepare for admin action to be taken against you. ;)

VERY nice job there Rev. Any reason for the brown grip though?

Not gotten round to picking up a replacement yet , is all.

Reminds me, though...
The actual grip froma Spas-12 looks very like the Pulse Rifle grips.
Anything in that, or am I imagining things?

They do look a little similar. On the other hand if you mean did they use SPAS-12 grips on the PRs, no they didn't; the grips on the originals were modified M1A1 grips.

Nah, I was more thinking "Is that where the inspiration came from for the grip pattern".
Easier to just mill some straight lines in that bodge a new grip on safely, I reckon.

That said, maybe the Airsoft one could be persuaded to fit, and look good?
Hmm.

With those woods grips it reminds me of the PR from the tech manual! You should add those pics to the PR gallery thread too! Still one of my favorites to look through. :D

In the past, people HAVE modded the OEM Marui grip, carefully sanding down the finger groove at the front and adding side grooves, or adding strips of styrene to the sides.

Or, if he still has them available, you could ask Matsuo for one of his.

On my last rifle I used one of the MIM grips, which was a modded Marui grip that they recasted (hollow) and used in their kits. Installing it on the Airsoft gun was as easy as removing the grip base bolt, and reinstalling.
