The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Post subject: Bill Paxton's autograph success stories?
PostPosted: Sun Feb 15, 2015 1:39 am

Hey gang!
As made obvious by my username, I'm a huge fan of Hudson. Has anyone had any luck getting Bill Paxton's autograph? I'm also a little concerned about sending a pic of
Hudson to him as his ex's name is on his armor. I'm not sure how he'd feel about seeing that.

What do you think?

Thanks!

He recently signed a NECA Hudson figure in person and told the owner he never knew his character's name was William.

Bill Paxton seems like an extremely easy going and generous guy. Folks on here who have met him have shared some really sweet stories about him.

Case in point, scroll to the bottom of this thread and bask in the glory of Mermear and Tentacle Chris's meeting wih Bill Paxton:

A few of us got to meet him at MCM London in 2013. He was an absolute star, shook everyones hand, posed for photos and signed some stuff for us. I didnt have anything to hand to sign - until I realised what I was holding, and asked him to sign my pulse rifle. When i looked, he had put 'Game Over Man!' and signed it. Closest I think i've ever came to a proper squee....

I joined the military because of his portrayal of Hudson, as well as Vazquez and Drake. I've been through mortar attacks in Iraq and wondered if I'd live to see another day, but I think if I had 5 minutes to talk to Bill Paxton and tell him what a positive impact that movie and Hudson made on my life I would either faint or piss myself.

Bill is great! A few of us got a chance to meet him along with Sigourney, Michael, Lance, Ricco, Paul, Jenette, Mark and Carrie at the Calgary Expo last spring.

My mother and I were up first in our group to his table, so we kind of "buttered" him up to accept his ALG award. I got our conversation recorded but I sound like a winkie when my Mom totally embarrassed me infront of him by calling me a "little girl" hahahahaha! (That's what Moms are for!!)

He was very kind and welcoming! Would love to meet him again!

He signed my Alien Anthology along with everyone else, he loved it, said it was a real collectors item now!

Absolutely - the photo was taken on Kev Osmotic's camera. I don't recall who actually took it.

I was among those with Moosh that met him in Canada. I gotta say he was cool and very friendly. I highly doubt the presence of his ex's name is an issue in any way. He seems to genuinely enjoy this stuff and he was very cool. He sort of rolled his eyes when I asked him to sign it "I am the ultimate badass" because I am sure he has signed millions just like that, but he laughed as he did it. Lots of fun.

That said, at the event, he was one of the pricier guys. His star power had him in the tier of "pre-purchase" tickets where you couldnt just go up to his table without having payed up front and gotten a voucher. I don't mean to be a debbie-downer, but he may have graduated to the point where anything sent to him has to pass through his 'handlers' and who knows what might actually makes it to him these days. Not saying it isn't worth a shot! Just saying I wouldn't send anything I would miss if it never came back.

I posted it on a closed FB group called Weyland-Yutani Bulletin and mentioned this thread on AL along with the source info listed above. I can add a link to the UKCM website too!

If we're being technical i guess Bruce owns the copyright lol (although he'd have to pay the rent for the equipment  )
