The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all! I want something non canonic and special so I got the idea about USCM Special Operations Command operator.
I just start my project and so far I have the following items -

My version of patches:

BDU - black CPU (Combat Patrol Uniform by Helikon) with black trousers:

My alternate to the Night Raider Knife:

I make my own version of dogtags (engraved):

to be continued... :)

Hi Brian! Looks cool so far! What is your backstory for the Marine who would wear this? Are you considering a black Pulse Rifle (like the WY commandos had in Alien3)?

I have backstory but only in Polish now ;). I'll translate this soon.
Black PR - yes, something like this. I found a image on deviantart - a few M41 projects by S-H-0-D-A-N and I fall in love :D

Interesting project- This would be an ideal use for the cut-down 'Recon' armour that Spat sells.

If you follow the 'Vietnam model' (which Aliens portrayl of USCM certainly does) then you've got a number of inspirations to draw on: MACV-SOG were very light on armour but ammo heavy.

Cool project.

The black design reminds also me about the WY commandos.

All in all very fitting. It would be interesting to read the background story.

If you want to build a black PR Spat's Shorty might be a good start with a vew AirSoft parts added.

Awesome! I love seeing EU stuff on the forums, especially ones that fit realistically well into the realm of the colonial marines. Can't wait to see how the PR turns out.

Very cool! Loving the subdued patches. Did you have these made specially or did you find em ready-made out in the wild [on the web]? If you made em, you might wanna consider offering a short run on here as I'm sure some people would want a set. I know I would :D + :8

If you've $$$ to burn, you could look at 'upgrading' your BDUs to Kryptek Typhon or A-TACS LE, thems be very, very sexy kit!

septic - this is my project and made in a specialized embroidery company. The cost of one patch is ~ 3,5 USD. If you want the files with vectors (eps/cdr) please PM me your mail.

Kryptek Typhon - yesssss :D I love this!

PREDATORPANTS - thank you :)

Love the patches...

My only suggestion, and it's purely an aesthetic/ergonomic observation/opinion on the PulseCarbine would be to loose the vert foregrip. On your computer mock up, it looks like it's just an afterthought add on, with it sticking out the front of the forearm on that RIS in mid air.

Might not be so bad on your actual one, as the forearm appears to be longer than on your mock-up, so would look in proportion.

But ergonomically you wouldn't need the grip, as you can always hold the mag well casing.

I can see where you're going with the "Kurz" look (and I am a massive fan of the K), I'm just saying it might not be necessary.

Comes with the usual caveat of "It's yours... So do what you want with it".

Looking great. 8)

Personally I think it looks a little better with more of the barrel showing through, as in the earlier build pics.

# AkosSzecsi - Thank you! Of course :)

# punkmarine - I've planned longest barrel, something like a flash suppresor or silencer.
