The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Very interesting. Either new hot toys or just NECA prototypes (always sculpted larger than production figures)

Those are definetly the new HT Iron Man 3 armour cases, and NECA make the protoypes at 1:4 and they'd never be on the same table as another companies display.

Look like my Powerloader is getting a new driver :)

EDIT: Bishop is as the feet if the loader and Newt is laying down next to the Aliens version of Ripley :)

Fella on the SSF claims to have seen them in person. Hot Toys Ripleys confirmed (with ROOTED hair. Hmmm...interesting)

Yeah I agree. Hard to pinpoint but I was lesss-than-overwhelmed. Doesnt matter though. While very nice, It's the Aliens 2.0 figure I am looking forward to.

That Sculpt may be the closest they can get if SW has not given permission for her likeness, The Kane figure is another good example

There is a little sign in the foreground next to Jonesy that actually says "pending final approval from Sigourney Weaver". It looks like they have the permission, they are just slightly missing on the sculpt.

The sculpt on "Aliens" Ripley is a bit better I think. Still could use tweaking

Are the two heads actually different sculpts? It looks like the same face with different hair and paint to me. Regardless, the eyes are wrong on both. Way too dark. Or is it the nose??

But there's the cat carrier for Jonesy! Someone tell Scapey!

Paint can do amazing/crazy things, but I thought the Aliens head looked like it had a more 'hard' edge to it. You know with cheekbones and whatnot, but it could just be the paint job. Of course it could be the attempt at being a hybrid "both figure" head that is holding it back. Def off. The good news is I hear this kind of thing is common and they tend to tweak the sculpt (often for the better) as development continues.

Aww you remembered Retro! You do love me! ;)

I think the problem with the sculpt is that it's too long, squish it a bit, widen the eyes a bit and it's spot on.

The aliens one looks allot better, but is that the same sculpt??

I really hope Sig asks them to tweak them.
