That looks cool for a resin knife! But it's the Raider I, I'd like to get my Raider III done up, since it's smaller
Thanks for the link though!
Next time I get some spending money I will message Falken108
Sorry, don't mean to risk straying off topic, but for others looking for resin knives, the one in Krook's post is the 'screen accurate' one. It is the "NIGHT Raider"/Scalemead survival knife with the screw cap bottom. The Raider I, Raider II, and Raider IIIs are all different knives, none of which have screw caps.
But back on topic, does anyone know if Resin reacts badly to play-doh? Someone who knows about casting may call me an idiot, but I have been considering the following method myself for some projects.
-Get a fiberglass repair kit or small jug of resin from the auto parts store
-Flatten out some play-doh or putty and press each half of knife (or whatever) into it.
-Fill 'casting' with resin and let dry.
Of course course you will destroy your mold removing it, and because each half was seperate, you will have to clean up the line when you glue the halves together, but if you were only looking to make a one-off on the cheap I would think this might work? Anyone ever try?
