Since the film uniforms had US Army ranks, whatya think about adopting an obsolete rank to my uniform? It's a Specialist 5th Class patch. Spec5's went out of use in the 70s, with all Specialists now being E-4s.

I'm a Spec5 in our Vietnam reenactment group, thought I'd badge my USCM the same. I prefer wearing an obsolete patch--less confusion with real modern ranks. Thoughts?

Personally, I don't think it would look good on the uniform. Even though army insignia were used, it was still marine corps titles. I think the Spec 5 just wouldn't fit. But that's me.

Oh can we that would be kick ass. I think it's a great idea I mean I see you point about not being a Marine Rank but still.
