The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ahhhhhh , I am absolutely GUTTED! I was telling Mom that this weekend we needed to get our gear in order , she went to my walk in closet, and remembered SHE MOVED RIPLEY (her costume haha) TO THE BASEMENT EARLY THIS YEAR!!!

It would all be fine and dandy but LAST WEEK MOVERS CAME AND PACKED UP OUR ENTIRE BASEMENT AND MOVED IT ALL 2.5 HOURS AWAY! Because engineers had to come and core holes in the basement floor to monitor and test the soil under the house :( NOOOOOO!!!

Gonna try whip up a Weyland Yutani outfit for her instead with clothes we already have and make her an ID badge.

I guess there's only room for one Ripley in Calgary haha!

Be sure to have a clipboard with some kind of Weyland Yutani forms on it.

Something like.....

1) Secure Zeno Specimen
2) Get It Thru Quarantine
3) Make Sure No One Else Can Profit From Discovery

Another Photo Op update:
I am seeing conflicting info about the number of people able to jump into a Photo Op. The Calgary expo page before you leave for the "epic photo" page clearly says under its "things to keep in mind"...

-"#10. You are allowed up to 3 additional people plus yourself (four people in total, not including the Media Guest) with you in the photo op. - See more at: http://www.calgaryexpo.com/photo-ops/#s ... I3pyV.dpuf"

But once you leave the calgary expo site and head to the Epic photo page it says in the FAQ section:

-"The price of a photo is the price per posed picture, not per person. There is a limit of three people in each photo (excluding children 3 years or under, and media guests)."

It also says 3 people in the FAQ in a separate Expo site page. With this being the case, we may need to actually get there before we know for sure if we can add a 4th person. Previous posts about the photo Op edited yet again. Still, let me know if you are interested in trying to be the 4th. You never know...

Thanks

I made this as my own reference (because I am starting to freak out!), but figured it could be useful. I am sure something current will be available on site, but as of yesterday.... this is the autograph and photo Op schedule.

Again, this was only as of yesterday. Time may change in the next 8 days (whoohoo! EIGHT :delta: !)
Ricco Ross did not have his Autograph times Posted (probably because he was a late addition) so there are none on my charts.

Nice work! I will definitely use this! Thanks!

So anyone have ideas of what look I should go for with Moms company outfit? I made her a badge already, I've made her a supervisor from the Special Projects Division haha. I will likely slap some stickers on a clipboard for her to carry, she can clip our autographs to it under her paperwork

Her costume has to be made with things we already have in our closets :( so I don't think I want to alter anything in a sewing capacity. We can't get to town to the "Second time around" store or the Bargain store because we have my nephew until Friday when we leave, and she works too.

What kinds of papers should I make for her clipboard? Archangel has an excellent suggestion already but I'd like some more if possible :)

A trenchcoat is always menacing. Have any WeyYu patches laying around? Slapping one of those on a plain white or black hat would go a long way. If the hat color matches the trench coat you'd be in even better shape.

I have an extra generic orange and black Weyland-Yutani patch I had planned to use on a hat, but never got around to it. I'd be happy to bring it with me but don't know if ya'll would want to sew it on in the parking lot though...

Thanks for the offer, I actually have 3 small 1"x2" tabs with WY on them.

She's not big into hats and we don't have a trench coat. I'm going to see if we can't find her a blazer in our closets. Maybe at work across the road there will be a gem of a shirt in the dollar bin :)

Do a Google image search for Facehuggers to get some great printouts for the clipboard, or try the Anchorpoint Essays!! Aldo there's a guy on Deviant Art who does a great Wey Yu letterhead. It looks great on clipboards.

I have the link saved somewhere, but I know I first stumbled on it by Google searching Weyland Yutani logos.

I sprung awake like a ninja in the dark this morning at like 7:47AM and was in a rush to get dressed up and make-up on, thinking we were in our hotel room and I was like "gotta get ready and make our way down!!"... My cat just looked at me all like "Go back to sleep, silly human, you have awoken me...". I felt pretty goofy after a few seconds when I realized I was still in my own bed at home haha
