The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Well i got my patches sorted. Feels a bit weird wearing a US flag ? I'm used to wearing UK/Korean flags on my sleeves but the US flag feels odd . . . Anyhow

Also tied the mag-holder in a drop-leg configuration. Not convinced yet but it feels ok. Does drag the belt a little though. Might try it attached to the trousers belt instead

Looking good! I think I like the mag holder in the drop leg position over waist myself.

Also I REALLY like the space invaders graffiti you posted earlier and the paint looks great.

I definitely like the look of the mags on the legs instead of the chest. Not sure about fuction, but before it looked like they would get int eh way a lot, especially if you needed the knife.

Right she's pretty much finished now. Just waiting for my racal to dry ;)

- Added name stencils (in white because the armour is too dark)
- Pulse rifle sling
- Grenades in loops (still need caps)
- Mag holder finished and baseplates added to mags
- Hooks added inside greaves to stop slippage

Damn dude, that is looking great! The extra mags is a great idea.

White name stencils are shown in A:CM so you're not stepping too far outside of "canon" with that.

I'd love to see a fan-made book with photos of grunts and a quick snipit of information about where they're stationed, a quote about some firefight they were in, etc. That last photo of you would be perfect.

Nice...
Hopefully Hawk can get some good pictures of all at the weekend.

James is making me a Racal headset, and wiring in a working mic etc. His works a treat.

I've got the link for the grenade caps... Just need to order them up.

Looking mighty fine, how are the Mag holders working out?

Looks great! I like how you switched up the knife to get it out of the way of the magazines. (Still an awesome holder for those mags too!) Chef, if you don't mind, where did you source the caps from? Local to the UK? I took me forever to find a place that would sell in less than 1000 count lots.

Had to take them apart to grind out a few return edges as they were gripping the mags ways too tight. Even now they are a tight fit (as you would imagine). However with a good bit of sanding they seem ok. I'll give them a proper test on sunday.

Yea my racal is a 'display' only one at the mo. However i'll make a working one next as the racal is obviously much nicer to wear for skirmishing than the lid

Yeah, UK place... caplugs.co.uk

Even I'm going to have to order in bulk!! But hey, I need some. At least I'll have some spares.

I might just make up some blocks to form over for the next lot, rather than using the mags. Maybe the fit is a bit too good.

You might want to check fastenal.com and see what they are charging for shipping. I ordered 5/8" caplugs (called sleeve caps) individually for $0.10 each. Save you having to do a bulk buy, unless you need that many.
