The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Found this thread on the Airsoft Canada forum. Warning about a member that is a blatant scam artist.

Amusing what these guys say about finding this guy (and how to get even).

Although this post is mostly about the humor of their posts, it is a bit of a wake up call to the rip-off artists that are out there, just waiting to snatch our hard earned cash. As well as how it is possible to track someone down if need be.

Hope the link works:

A pretty harsh collection of posts, and another reason why 14 year olds shouldn't be allowed to play airsoft. :)

I should have said "Unsupervised 14 year olds."

I've known a few younger players who were very mature for their age and handled themselves, and their weapons, very maturely and in a responsible manner.

And then there's the OTHER group of people. Those who like to run around the neighborhood alleys or play in public parks. All the while doing so with NO eye protection at all.

Actually, this one clan had a very good idea. All junior members (13-15) must attend 'Airsoft 1.0' which teaches all this stuff about it. Of course, its for maryland only...
Yes, I know what you mean rook.
I was talking to a local sports shop which didn't have anything really worth getting. He directed me to the shop glasses. "Well all them kids in the streets don't really use glasses. You'd be the only kid there with glasses..."

That's like saying, "All those kids on the street are trying to go blind faster than you."

The MAA also has a mandatory safety training session for new players, regardless of age. Basically an hour and a half of how the game is played and safety issues, as well as basic gun handling training.
