The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

okay so we all know that pregnant females are not suposed to drink alchohol. So what would happen when a heavy drinker has a xenomorph in his/her chest and he/she continues to drink untill it pops. You think that the xeno would be messed up from all that alchohol. Said it was a weird thought.

The thing has acid for blood and can survive the vacuum of space.

I don't think alcohol will touch it. 8)

The question you've just posed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent pondering were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine.

Okay here's a "semi" serious answer.

In the case of the pregnant woman she is feeding the unborn child nourishment via her own digestive system. So yes it is highly important that she avoid things that could harm the child.

However with the chestburster, it is not being fed, it is a parasite. I'm not entirely sure how in depth the Anchorpoint Essays are about what (if anything) the chestburster feeds off of its human host before reaching maturity---

However I believe it is more a case of the burster "incubating" in the host rather than receiving nourishment from it. So I believe it wouldn't really matter if the host was say a crack addict or something- it wouldn't have any real effect on the burster.

What about the fact that the embryo takes on aspects of the host? For example the dog alien in A3, or the different versions of Alien action figures (spider, rhino, etc)

Well- From my experience- the resulting chestburster would wander around declaring everyone was "My best mate in the world" in slurred tones, followed by eating a load of dubious spicy food and waking up under a hedge.

With a traffic cone on it's head.

like i said in my post it was a weird though that just poped in my head and was a result of bordum on a slow day were i could not get out to work on any of my projects. so sfc baldwin i was just trying to hav a little bit of fun, i freely admit that it was not right. figure it was better then trying to recreate a floor buffer rodeo from a previous night of drinking and bordum (now that was a bit of insanity that i would not recomend) next time i'll put a disclaimer on my next weird thought.

Not up on xenobiology so would have to rewatch every film to figure out whether or not it actually gestates or just incubates... My first wonder would be whether or not Huggy the Facehugger could differentiate between healthy and unhealthy hosts. Fully adult Xenos can sense which one is pregnant, for example so I'd reason the Alkie would be ignored as 'not viable' unless there were no other hosts.

Also, with his reply I assume Dom is either drunk, joking or perhaps even both... Given that a drunk human being impregnated is at least a potential risk to *any* member of the UKCM, I feel it's rather relevant. Notice I specify neither gender of the UKCM, nor what they risk being impregnated by...!

In A:CM the doctor in they WeyYu facility said the alien embryo somehow integrates itself to all of the host's major organs. That is why it is almost impossible to remove them.

Problem is, crack or alcohol may have zero effect on a xeno's physiology, even if it was exposed.

Oh, I'm relaxed. Mediocrity winds me... but, it's nothing a couple of rum buckets at the Hyatt can't make me forget.

During Ripley's hearing the ECA rep says "a creature that gestates inside a living human host". Now of course that is Ripley's description of what happened, and I don't recall if Ash weighed in on the topic or if this is her own assumption.

Regardless, James Cameron wrote 'gestate' and not 'incubate' and so that's what I'll stick with.
