The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

YouTube would probably give you a wider audience. Go for it!

I suppose I could make a short video of how to use up a whole magazine of ammo !

My shop air compressor only makes 125 PSI, so the cyclic rate is a tad low,

but she will shoot at that pressure ! :o

Is it possible to post video on this forum ? Or do I just upload to my Youtube account,

and post a link for it here ? ? ?

Did you do a link David?

Close up shot of the pulse rifle, showing where I have installed a metal HE grenade into the breech of the launcher.

( kit came with a ridiculous looking 12 ga. shotgun shell replica ) ( what were they thinking ? )

So, without undue fanfare, here is the link to the ( low res ) video of the M56 live fire ( at 120 psi , not 200 psi )

Now, nobody has asked about my front struts yet, so now I get to show them off here.
As most of you already know, the motorcycle these were sourced from was Never sold
in North America! This makes it really hard to get these! Breaker yards in UK were not
interested in helping me for some odd reason which remains a mystery. But eventually I
found a pair of these on eBay, and managed to finally obtain a pair of the correct
struts ! These pix were taken the day I unwrapped them, so they still have UK
road grit visible on them !!

All I remember is it is a Kawasaki. Something like a KX-125, maybe? I am sure someone here knows right off the top of their head !! :D
But they were never sold in America or Canada, so none of them are this side of the pond. :(
In fact, they are the support brackets for the foot pegs for the passenger sitting behind the driver.
I have looked at them several times with an eye to making 'rubber' moulds of each.
Then you could resin cast several dozen copies before the moulds get crappy -
I have some resin cast ones, but they are not even close to the Kawasaki parts.
I spent so much on the all metal MG42 that I refuse to put any resin parts on mine.
But if there is a demand out there for Accurate resin copies of the real Kawasaki struts,
maybe I can give this a try ? ? ? :O

I was close. Its not a kx 125.
It is an AR 125.
approximately a 1985 model most likely.

here is a good view of the struts.
the web site i borrowed this from is clearly posted on the image
( so they get full credit for the image ! )

Wonder if they still sell these over the web ? ?

David - How are you attaching your brackets to the sides of the heat shield?
I'm working on an SG right now, and think I have a rock-solid mounting method - IF I can only get a washer and nut mounted securely inside, to give me something to bolt the alu struts to!
And how far forward/up are yours?
With my plan, the front hole in the strut will match the circular vent at the front of the shield, and the large lower back hole in the strut will be just inside the rearmost oblong vent...

I installed bushings into the oversize bolt holes in the brackets, and then drilled the bushings out for smaller bolts.
The bolts go into holes in the heat shield itself, which were drilled undersize and then tapped with threads to match the bolts. (no nut needed)
I will take some close up photos showing how I oriented the brackets in relation to the heat shield.
Obviously, I did not want the bolt holes to line up with vent holes in the heat shield ( since I wanted metal behind to drill and tap ! )
