The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

You could try Forbidden Planet international or Forbidden Planet (2 seperate stores).
You may even pick them up for the £50 mark instead of some of the "Bay" prices of almost £100.

Thje first wave of Hot Toys figures (Hicks, Apone and Vasquez) have been sold out virtually everywhere for a while now so your only real option is ebay. Hicks sells for over $300 these days though as he is the most sought after. The second wave wont be around for ever either so Id get one of these before havign to pay insane ebay prices.

My advice is to buy the Hudson figure, which is just awesome. If you really preffer Hicks to Hudson, then the Huson fig can be moddified with a little repainting to look like Hicks. In fact, the headsculpt that comes with the Hudson figure looks alot like Michael Biehn and with a repaint its a better likeness than the Hicks figures headsculpt. i'l try to find pics from the 1/6 board I visit to illustrate this.

By second wave I meant the Hudson, Drake and Ripley figures, sorry. My apologses, I didnt write that very clearly.

There are hopes that Hot Toys will re-issue the first wave figures (Hicks, Apone and Vasquez) given the popularity of their Aliens range of figures but I wont be holding my breath.

The Hudson figure really is amazing and it actually has some build and colouration issues resolved from the Hicks figure. Ive just ordered a replacement Hudson head from Chris's website, and along with a few other minor tweaks, it will be perfect :)

Thanks again. It's either Hicks or Hudson although I prefer Hicks' character (and armour). What are the essential differences between the kit they carry on the two figures?

Also, wasn't there a site that sold custom items around?... :)

Hicks comes with the shotgun and sheath (also the locator tube thingy I think) whilst Hudson comes with a rather lame equipment sachel not even seen in the movies. I was hoping that Hudson would at least include a flamethrower.

otherwise, their gear is the same . . . pulse rifle, grenades, motion tracker, knife, vp-70, welder and shoulder lamp.

I ordered my Hudson head and an accurate gerber knife, bdus and patch set from this site

cool stuff on there.

Those accessories - what's 'de rigeur' for the Hot Toys USCM? Are all the parts just more accurized versions of what's already included?

:)

Please post the ebay id name.

I want to know if this is the same guy who told me that my Hudson figure had been damaged.

My paypal payment had gone through and I am waiting on a refund.

I might escalate this if it is the same guy.
