Can you tell/show me where you put the spring in the HCG grenade launcher? I've got one on my PR, and I'd like to do the same.
I used the recoil spring and guide pin from a broken airsoft M1A1 (its roughly 7.5 inches long). I then cut off about 1 inch. Hold the business end of the GL away from you and drill, or dremmel, a hole in the rear directly behind where the shell ejector is. Slide the spring in so it pushes the ejector forward and hold it with your thumb. Check to make sure the spring pushes it all the way forward AND it can move back far enough to 'cycle'. The full length of spring is too long and there isnt enough room to get the pump handle to move far enough back. Cut the spring too short and there will be slop in the forward and rearward movement of the pump handle. So cut the spring down in smaller segments and you will find the perfect length.
Once you have done this, slide the plastic guide pin/tube into the rear end of the spring. Now cover your hole with a piece of scrap aluminum and drill it into place with sheet metal screws. The rear end of the GL is about 3/8" thick so there is enough support for the screws.
Screws --->Aluminum plate ----> Pin ----> Spring ---> Drill hole ----> rear of GL.
I made a high tech 3D autocad rendering.....yea right.
