The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Just ordered a kings arms m1a1 ( full metal body), g&p kit and 5 grenade shell props.

Speaking to the shop owner he said if i was interested to wait 6 months as the Ares version is supposed to be due then. Ares normally do cracking body kits on all their guns but after the fun with their customer support never answering emails, i'm a little lothe to get a specialist AEG from them again ( their body work ontheir guns is top notch though).

And to round it off, the front drivers side strut just packed up in swmbo's car, so i just managed to get the order in before she wanted me to fork out for that.

Ah, SWMBO's car.... scourge of all costumers!! I speak from experience, though for once it was my wheels that nearly screwed up my Aliens fun last month...

heh, yep, strut top mount failed, needs a new mount and mcpherson strut. They were only done last year by an alleged mechanic (i don't think he knew what a spanner was from the nut tightness).

Still I should be getting my g& p kit tues, hopefully the m40 grenades too and the m1a1 on Friday. Im planning on doing a blow back mod to the m1a1 and at some point putting a working shotgun in the front (or alt least a moscart type affair).

Ideally i'd like to get some m40s lathed up that could fire as shower grenades, although i would expect that may just be a step beyond what I can do.

I hope by "working shotgun" you mean a working airsoft shotgun? As we've already had one rpund of trying to explain the complex legalities surrounding a live firing shotgun in a Pulse Rifle recently!

If he's mentioning Moscart, he's definately talking Airsoft.

Ares is due in six months, eh? curious.

If you're doing a gas Airsoft shottie, then M-40s that fire several BBs are available from DATA on here. He made some up to fit the Maruzen M870s and (I believe) the Tanaka 870s, as well as some utterly awesome prop version M-40s that cycle through the Maruzen but have removable caps and sprung plungers!

Did he not?
I thought Steve did all three, with the Tanaka being a run of just a few as it wasn't so popular at the time?

Oh Mr. Data...!

I have the Tanaka in mine. Bloody expensive shotgun to go chopping up like that. :)
