The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

You're most welcome Kristen! Most welcome! Yes, that was in '06- when we had the photoshoot at Art's place. I was Batman & USCM, while Eric was Jango Fett & Hellboy.

And...I did the bbq chicken!! (out in Art's backyard with no shade...in bright, blazing sunlight! ) I think I did a little dance with the chicken while in the kitchen and dropped a few pieces...but they hadn't been cooked yet, so no foul on the fowl!

That looks great! It's always nice to see a female marine, it makes a nice change.

Wow, thank you all so very much! I finally got to troop for 5 hours at Comic con on Sunday and it was a blast. I'll be putting together a little video about that experience but for now please check out my Star Wars Chick facebook page (link below) for a few pics I took at the con and my personal facebook page http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/starwarschick1 for some of the pictures that others took of me. I got to troop with Jeff Teel for a little and his gf Amanda took quite a few pictures of us as did my friend Scott Kaufmann. I do need to add some padding to where it rests on my shoulder tips and on the hips since the weight of the gun makes it press down in those 2 areas. I carried the HCG pulse rifle for the entire 5 hours and everyone couldn't believe how much heavier it was than Art's AA12 for his Royce costume.

Great pics Kristen (although there were only a couple).

Nice to see the camo paint in natural light.

Did you run into any other Marines?

Yeah, since Art and I both were in costume, neither of us got to pictures of each other unfortunately. But I fully plan to do a complete photo shoot and get some great shots of the suit at some point soon. The only other Marine I saw was Jeff Teel and we only got to troop for about 1 hour together- we spent most of the day trying to hook up so we could troop together and didn't get to do so till the end of the day.

Pretty sure he goes by Utinni (sp?) here and on the RPF. He's been around longer than I have but I have yet to meet the guy (I've never made it out to SDCC :( ).

Tony was talking about the listing of marinas, where the boats are kept.

Looking good Kristen! Are you and Art hitting DC this year? It would be nice to troop with you again.

It looks weird to capitalise the C and M in the url....but I try to remember to capitalise the M when needed.

Would love to have a few boats on there Russ.....nice photoshop of the Gateway space dock with the USS Sulaco, USS Matsucorp as well as the others I can't remember off the top of my head.

Gotta keep those boats organised. As you know, the UKCM regularly sail across on Munkeys boat ;)

That's Marine Lingo. One Marine correcting another. Usage is; when one Marine is doing something wrong, or not doing something we should be, the correction is "I know we _____".

Examples:
Your NCO sees your uniform is out of reg and tells you "I know we button our sleves"

Your wife goes to the bathroom, sees that you left the seat up again, and yells at you "I KNOW WE LEAVE THE SEAT DOWN!"

I presume this only happens if you married a "bumpy" Marine?
