Actually FenGeddel86 over on Propsummit found the link, I was surprised to see it so asked Willie about it so I can't take credit for the discovery unfortunately. Looks really good though, it sounds great! Probably have to get two, one to keep pristine and one for pulling to bits!

On Saturday Harry and I managed to get early copies of this great book.
It really is beautifully done and I recommend it highly. Here are some snaps (I won't post any more though because the book is so lush I would consider it spoiler-ish!)
Ian Nathan and the designer have done a great job. It may well be the best book on Alien that I've seen.

Sadly not, the architecture industry is still struggling and I found it difficult to find work. I'm now in East Tennessee (my missus has family there). Not found permanent employment yet but doing some contract drafting for a few weeks. Would have loved to have gotten to Leicester, but on the plus side I'm within driving distance of Dragoncon, so aiming to get there next year, we'll see.

What's the story behind that Nostromo patch? Is it an early design sketch or something?

Yea, it really is a book to get excited about.

The caption reads:
Nostromo Patch. Ron Cobb's upbeat rainbow hued design for the Nostromo emblem, as sewn on to the crew's spacesuits (reproduced here in sticker form).
Hmmn. The font is different and as a guess I'd say the designer has redrawn it for the sticker and not matched the font. There are a few geometric inaccuracies with the kern and other spacing.
I know you and I would consider that inexcusable, Mike! But most people would be none the wiser.

Really hope you get there Graham, it's great to meet everybody and DCon is a great crack, you'll love it.


Yes! It's A3, so pretty damn cool. Great to see your awesome work getting the exposure and recognition it deserves. Your blueprint was an amazing project as many here have commented.
