The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I got in touch with him.

He is on it, basically he'll post when he's got something to deliver.

Things got additional delays with his sample maker unexpectedly being out of town.

It's good to finally have some idea what's going on. Sounds like he's doing okay then. Thanks for the update, Matt.

I understand the delays with the BDU orders, but I wish he'd check in with those of us waiting for the armor sets. Some of us have been waiting on built sets for a couple of years already. I realize things don't always go as planned in spite of best intentions, but at this point I'd be satisfied just to get all the pieces shipped ASAP, so I can try to get it finished in time for D-Con this year.

Steve, if you're reading this, could you please email me right away so we can work something out about shipping the armor? I can wait on the other stuff, but I really need to get started on that armor soon! Thanks, man. :)

I too am waiting on an armor set and would be happy to have it shipped even if it is not built, if it will help you get some stuff off of your plate, Steve. You can drop me a PM here with contact info and we can work out the details.

I hope everything is okay with Steve also, but I ordered my BDU's back in Oct. And if anybody has any updates on how he's doing and the order progress... That would be great. :delta:

He told me that he's heading to mainland china tomorrow.

I would recommend compromising on the built armor kits, and settle for a kit.

That's my opinion, let's see what Steve says.

I still have to do my kit, so I could do a build thread, and Nick has some really good FG build threads.

I'm totally willing to accept my armor as a kit at this point if it will help Steve out, but we have no way of contacting him since the scifimilitary site and email went down.

Same here. Last time I heard from him he was considering a compromise & partial refund for my built set, which he'd already started on, but was unable to continue for various reasons. I replied that I'd be fine with finishing it myself. I already contacted Nick about doing some of the assembly work for me, and I've just been waiting to hear from Steve. I'm sure we can work it all out to everyone's satisfaction once we hear from the man himself.

It don't see it happening in time for Dragon Con this summer, but if I can get everything I need shipped to me ASAP I should at least be able to have it done in time for next year's con.

I've got you covered Dru. I should have my aluminum set done soon, and you can wear my existing set like you did last year. You'll need to come up with a ab pad- I'll try and paint your name on the armor too, repaint the graffitti as well

Thank you for finding that out. I don't suppose he made any mention of other things on order like helmet covers, holsters, etc? I had some of those on a separate order placed before the BDUs, but I'm wondering if he forgot...

Same here. Waiting this long has been hard but I'm doing my best to stay positive in spite of it. Hope it won't be too much longer though.

That would be a no. The only person I know of who has had any contact with Steve is Noble. Ever since the SciFiMilitary domain went down, I and many others no longer have any way of contacting him. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope...

its a shame someone here cant get the actual molds and continue the armour making - by that i mean maa could sell/pass on the molds to a person willing to start making, and the funds maa took could also be passed onto the new maker, along with the contacts for the bdu material/garment making........and in essence the new maker ties up outsanding orders and then makes for the future people.

if myself i had made an order and still had nothing, id by now accept that id never see them :(

the best outcome is that someone takes over the reigns that has the time and the heart to contimue what he started, and let maa concentrate on things he needs too in his own personal life:)

He should be settled in Taiwan now.

I have a message out to him.

Armor people, would you be okay with unbuilt? That's what I would suggest.
