So, it looks like all the hotels nearby to this are either booked up or quoting 3x their normal price. Even the Beckton Premier Inn is silly money.

Anyone have any ideas? We OK with traveling from a cheaper hotel to Docklands? DLR should be running normally ....

I dont know London transport very well, but the Barking Premiere Inn is currently ~70 squids less than Beckton for fri/sat night. Worth a look?

edit: Had a quick shufty at google maps, seems the nearest DLR station is Beckton so itd either be a bit of a walk or alternate transport. Given the convenience (and fun!) of the DLR, Id be fine with the walk.

I'm just trying to work it all out in my head as I've got a friend staying with me that weekend and I don't want her to think she's being dumped so I can go play dress-up. We probably would only be able to do the afternoon on Friday anyway, after dropping the kids at the in-laws and then driving up.

There is a massive medical seminar on the smae time the hotels were booked up ages ago,
I think were staying at the Beckton PTI
We got one room and putting 5 of us in there just to keep the price down
