The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Well Marines, it's spring again and you know what that means, TIME TO BREAK OUT THE T-SHIRTS!

And what better way to hearld the arrival of spring than with a t-shirt that depicts one of the best ships in the USCM fleet.

I'd like to get a consensus of those interested, and what colors might work best. I've thought of white on dark blue shirt, white on black, black on brown bess, black on olive drab and black on grey.

Now, I haven't gone to the printer to see what colors can or can't be done, I wanted to see what interested parties thought before I went and spent time on something that might have no interest.
I would like to get only one color of design and shirt printed to help keep things simple.
If you would be interested, let me know what color you like and we'll go from there.

I like the idea of darker combinations, eg. black on OD or BB.

Here's my order of preference:

1. Black on OD
2. White on Black
3. Black on Gray
4. White on Dark Blue
5. Black on Brown Bess

....but, what's the significance of the 13?

Count my vote for the darker colors - OD, BB, black or gray base. Looks more military that way :) I'd definitely be in for one, regardless.

Dom, the #13 refers to it's...production number? It's listed as being the 13th of it's kind to be made in the tech manual.

So far, it looks like black on grey is in the lead

I think including the U.S. Navy style "hull number" designation would look a lot better than just saying "#13". You wouldn't call the U.S.S. Ponce "Austin-class #15", for example, you'd refer to it as LPD-15. Looks a hell of a lot more military :)

"USS SULACO"
"Conestoga Class - LAS-13"
perhaps?

I agree, I like the look of that...I even have that on a hat that was made a few years ago. I thought of using the LAS, but didn't because...I don't know what it means. :(

I won one in the raffle last year at DC from Jesse.
It's where I got the LAS-13 from

I'd ask Jesse and see if he has any.
