I don't think the fun we had is explainable.

Okay...well maybe if you count pickles, a certain cross dressing episode, the uncertainty of a certain someone's sexual preference (Cherie that is STILL the best comment of the whole con) or the fact that the USCM gang grabbed 1st place in the Sci Fi Costume catagory. (Oh and Gilmore attacked some poor old lady with a face hugger....okay, maybe he didn't attack, but he drop kicked it in her face )

I think we all had a great time, I can't tell you the amount of compliments I recieved and/or heard on the group as a whole. Everyone was impressed.

Thank you, Charlie, Eric, Mike, Tony, Matt, Michelle, Cherie and Gilmore for a freaking fantastic weekend. Can't wait to do it again.

I had a blast this weekend, even though my pulse rifle fragged right as I got suited up. Fortunately I brought the flamer as well. Thanks again for putting up with us Mike, Ash and Charlie.

Can't wait for the pictures. I'll send Lance an email and see if he can find a copy of the costume contest skit.

Well we're home!!

I'm just pretty much going to repeat what Matt and Ash said - great weekend.

Sorry again guys I had to bail on the contest but as you've said you nabbed first so you didn't really need me.
It was great to see Charlie in my armor and he seemed to be enjoying it. Not sure if he was just soiling it but I won't go there.

What a weekend! For a smaller con we certainly had a big Badass time. This was an awesome first drop for me. Thanks to all of you guys (and gals) for making me feel welcome immediately. I can't wait until Dragon Con when I won't be working security so I can participate in all the pants, I mean festivities...sorry wrong thread. First place in the costume contest, I expected nothing less from Colonial Marines. We were a highlight of the Con. When the 501st gets together in numbers, it's hard to outshine them...well at least for everybody except us. I couldn't walk down a hallway without somebody stopping me to talk about Aliens and/or our armor. I never got that kind of attention in my TK. Yes, I love being a camera whore at times.

This was one for the history books and a couple of glorious days for the Corps!

*gulp!* Don't remind me, lol. I've still got plenty of time to finish my SG rig for my "debut" with you guys, but there's too many things outside of my control that I'm waiting on for me to be able to relax

BDUs... should be this summer, waiting for MAA's new 3rd pattern to come out.

M56... parts are coming in with no "missing links" I don't have a source for; the gun's the one part I'm breathin' easy on.

Headset... Jesse DeGraff has a kit in work, gotta wait for him to finish with DZC filming before I can get my hands on one.

Harness/Arm... same as above. I bought plans to make one myself, but Jesse has a kit in progress and his product will look MUCH better than anything I could make from scratch with my limited access to machining tools. It's a tough call between going with a sure bet that's lower quality, or gambling on something that may not be available but will look awesome if it comes through.

At least I FINALLY found an M69 flak vest in MEDIUM size that the seller doesn't want $500 for, lmao.

Made it home last nite after 9 hours of travel. Had a blast this weekend. Was great to have finally meet Ash, Michelle, Mat, Gilmour and Eric. Was great to get together again with Tony, Cherie and Charlie. Here's a quick pic of the Saturday night party (St. Patty's Day).
