The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Wow! Pricing has really changed since I last looked. Prices rounded for VAT:

Scrim vinyl for banners is £25 per metre

Lightstop for standees £20 is per metre

The empty pop up stands are £30. A pop up on lightstop would be about £70 so the Staple's price isn't that bad.

Paul has had these for some time, but thought they needed a little sometime. Personally, I think they're awesome. Especially the Alien one, of course!!!!

The originals are 300dpi at 6ft by 2ft - meaning crazy-massive Photoshop files ...

Abe is looking great in the banner, but I would say that Darren is looking a little lost in the pose/lighting. Cool thing with the shadow over the face (making him a generic 'grunt'), yet I'd like to the pulse rifle highlighted more, being our iconic weapon. Could do with being aimed upwards, too. IMHO

This sort of thing would be awesome stood behind the table :D

If the PR was being aimed upwards then I would have been looking upwards and so my face would be visible, beautiful as I am, I think "generic grunt" is better.

I say print them and do one more for a landscape wall jobby.

These are pretty good -- clean and simple. Nice photographs.

People will always have ideas on improvements and doing things differently but these will more than do the job so better to just get them printed as Darren says.

They'll look top notch full size!

It'd just create more silly questions too, such as "I didn't know Ben Affleck was in Aliens?!"

hehe we should be pushing the fact we have Hollywood talent in our ranks.

Just my artist pickiness. I'd certainly be happy with these as banners.

I think the art work is great as it is mate. I wouln't try and tweak it anymore unless you really want to of course. Do you think you could give the files to G when you get back? Then we can get them printed up?

Cheers

Darren

Those banners look great! I think if we're to do a horizontal banner then it could do with a bit more colour just to grab the eye. Perhaps deltas and a big UKCM (in day-glo pink :P)

And you do realise that if we have banners with the url on someone is going to have to update the website...

Where did we get the standees from in the end?

Someone's asking on my Twitter feed where to get such things done.

Edit: Never mind, just found the other thread and that we got them from Staples. :)
