The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey guys,

Im brand new to the forum and looking for help and advice.....and any freebies I can get!
(if ive posted in the wrong section please move me, and I apoligise)

For a while now ive been working on creating a Pulse Rifle for paintball and im almost there. So far I have the paintball marker (thats the gun....a Tippmann 98C for any one whos interested), the main shroud and parts to make the stock. im stuck on the underbarrel shotgun/grenade launcher.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START!!!!!!

I know its based on a Spas 12 and another shotgun but sadly my budget wont stretch to affording proper replicas. dose any one know where I can get a toy Spas 12 (or somthing close to it) in the uk??

As soon as I have pics of what ive done i will post up

thanks for your help guys

chris

You can buy in the U.K. cheap two tone Spas shotgun, not sure if it's 100% size wise ...

Are you needing it to function or otherwise serve a function? If not you could always go with a solid resin cast version.

Matsuo used to offer them. I'm not sure if he does any longer but it might not hurt to ask.

Were you trying to keep the price low? Occasionally we have board members selling real Spas cages.

being broke any only working 20 hours a week for my local cinema i would LOVE to keep the prices as low as possibal!!!

I have no plans for it to function, as i want to use it as a paintball gun having a second marker gaffered to the underside of it would cause too many head aches! I would like to slide to move but thats about it..

Also dose any one have the corect dimentions for the stock? my friend (with the huge tv) works in CAD and has basicly said he will scratch build me one, if i get him the proper dimentions....

thanks
chris

(on a side note I watched Aliens last night on my friends home cinema.......8 foot by 6 foot projection screen with 7.1 suround sound.......MAN, I LOVE THE CORE!!!)

My sole comment on this thread, while spammy, is that I live in hastings when i'm not at university. I didn't realise we had a little subset of the corps down there. There's usually just a ton of drugs and police :p

ok i may have hit a problem. as we all know the M41A has a sighting line down the middle of the carry handel. my shroud dosnet have this, but the magazine is wide enough to encorprate it.....in other words my shroud is thinner at the top than it is at the bottom, and i cant make it any thinner....i think this may have to go on hold.....untill i get a new shroud......or a better idea.....

BETTER IDEA HAS ARIVED!!!!!!

my Friend who is fabricating me the stock and barrel vents has told me he should be able to fabricate the whole shround!! (the joys of having very technical friends)

Luckerly I have found some CAD images of the pulse rifle here http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/projects/aliens/m41.htm BUT they only show the side. I've tryed e-mailing the author but my e-mails are bouncing back.

DOSE ANY ONE HAVE ANY TECHNICAL DRAWINGS OF THE FRONT OF THE M41A?? any help would be awsum! thanks!!
