The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sorry to ask, but the MSN link thing from earlier threads doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Is this the same kit as on the Comet Miniatures page?
Fits around a TM Thompson M1A1?
Can incorporate a Maruzen M870, digital counter etc?

What does it cost?
Is it UKARA only?

Don't forget folks that any direct sales should be posted in the Base PX section.

Thanks. :)

Could anyone help with some good pics of the kit? Am considering grabbing one, and the pics on Comet Minitures dont seem detailed enough.

I got one of comet miniatures kits back in January, thanks again for that to all the dudes at Comet Miniatures :D.
Their kit does require a little work like, I had to sand off the excess plastic and file down other areas a little so that my TM Thompson fit a little better and small trivial things like that, nothing major.
I've replaced most of the resin parts from the Comet Miniatures kit with their metal counterparts as I'm building a working, customized, Airsoft version of the Pulse Rifle so I need it to be strong and durable, so I can take it to an airsoft skirmish day and not worry about it breaking. I wouldn't get that from the resin parts, however, if it's just for display or costume purposes only then their kit is ideal in that regards.

Here's a few pics,

All the various parts including my TM Thompson stripped down, this pic includes the metal SPAS cage, couldn't find the picture I had with the resin one,

Image

All the bits and bobs put together, before anything has been bolted or screwed in place,

Image
the outer barrel hasn't been cut and it's hair bands holding it together to see how it fits.
Image

As it looks now all bolted together with metal parts and fully functional, minus the Tanaka M870 in the grenade launcher that comes a little later, same with the ammo counter,

Got mine from ebay about 2 years ago, it was the only one I could find at the time.

detailing quite good if displaying

will need a lot of cleaning up

Personally I think the magazine housing is a touch long, but I'm too far gone now with metal upgrades.

Having said that I'm impressed. Definitely worth getting your hands on one.
A whole lot better with metal bits. (and heavy)

I know its not Aliens related but click on my website link and look at the P90 project, that has a fully automatic magazine (2500 bb) as well as a 3300mah nim, just added a Nitro rail and it looks way cooler. Just have to make time to get out there skermishing.

On the durability factor..... I take my PR skermishing and so far its stood up to everything thrown at it. the resin i use is not brittle at all.
