The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So, being cash strapped right now and hoping to make an All Hallows time crunch to get a flame unit Drake toting costume together and not having the time (or connections as yet) to get one of the accurate 3Pat or 2Pat BDU's (curse my 29" waist) I've seen sold here and there, I found this digging around.

It's not safariflage but with the RIT dye remover technique and a little white acrylic or spraypaint it might look passable.

not bad at $25

Thoughts from the esteemed community?

Planning on doing a scratch build on the M240 and still looking for a good flak vest since the egunparts one seems not to match the picture (might still fall back there dependent on Cpl. Potter's report)

Already snagged the Earl Haig OD green tropical cover, so some acid face damage and patches and trick or treat, It's a bug hunt!

Just remember close enough is also in your eyes. Look at the pictures of our motley crew we have all kinds of Cammo, also Black and green.

It is a close pattern but don't feel the you can't wear it if it is not Screen accurate. We are not the picky.

Very close to Safariflage, though...

Yeah, that'd do until you get some 3Pats, I reckon!!

It also works on planets with foliage dominated by right-handed amino acids such as Helene 215.

While I agree that you shouldn't be worried about "close but no cigar" camo- I wouldn't want to see neon pink/lime green camo.

Personally I think Multi-Cam is a great alternative to SA.

I've become somewhat infamous for my use of grey and black urban camo under black armor.

Really, no one here sweats the accuracy. However, that is pretty darn close.

Darn, he beat me to it. I was gonna ask our Sarge dropped with the "Flyin' Bananas" on Helene 215 the (strapped in on the Loose Moose too no doubt) with that particular pattern

Thanks for all the input guys! I'm glad to see no 501st-ish tendencies here, I'm a stickler for as "accurate as I can afford" but it's good to know most everyone here sees about the same as me :delta: I'll get some 3pats once funds and connections allow but for Halloween it'll do great.

It's getting ordered tonight at payday was today. Pics to come of before and after dye removal and "whitening".
