The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

If you look closely at this picture you'll notice that there are at least two diffend styles of cargo pallets used as the colony floor:
- the ones on the main hallway with all slots running in the same direction
- the one to the right with some longitudinal slots and orthogonal lateral slots

Cheers,
Stefan

Looking at the Propstore one, you can see that the back of the pallet has a different layout, so it may just be the reverse side showing. :)

PVB,
if you have a look at "Detail 1" of the propstore pictures, you'll see that the back of the main hallway pallets looks differend.

Cheers,
Stefan

Isn't that what I just said?

So my feeling is that maybe they used one pallet design and just turned it over to produce a different look. :)

I could be totally wrong though, so just a guess. :)

Underside is not flush.

It is notched for forklift access.

You can see the underside in some Ripley alien screen tests.

If you look at my pict, mine is really close to the one Bugstomper is talking about.

Probably could be accurate with some dremel work.

LOL - yes, that's what you said! What I meant was
"... you'll see that the back of the main hallway pallets looks differend" compared to the pallet on the right.

Cheers,
Stefan

nope, fairly close though. I've been hot to trot looking for the right one. Its going to be almost impossible to find the correct one (atleast on the net). Im sure they were on the way of being phased out production when aliens came along since they had been atleast in-production since 1976. but there may be some hope

I did find ones thats really close to the ones used as the "side floor" in the Sentury Gun photo....
