Post subject:  Q: "I heard a rumor about a new Pulse Rifle toy?"
I stumbled across an advertisement a few months ago and now I can't find it. It was probably something that I got in the mail and lost. :(

It offered an image of a toy pulse rifle that appeared to be full size. If memory serves, the shroud was hot pink or green or something like that and it had the fluorescent caps for the barrels. Also, I think that this was a hasbro item that is scheduled for release this winter!!! Not sure if this date is still on...

Has anyone else seen this?

If you are talking about the toy pulse rifle picture that had a lime green shroud, and said: New Product Line, November (or Winter) 2003...

It was a hoax created by a fellow board member.:(

I for one feel there is little room for hoaxing or practical jokes regarding pulse rifle items and sundrys.

I saw it and was crushed then disgusted knowing how cruel some people can be.

I mean I can take a joke as good as anyone...sept maybe Tony...oh and maybe Harry....
Hmmm Russ was always quick with the laughs too....

Come to think of it I can't take a joke very well at all nor do I have much of a sense of humor to speak of...and I certainly don't feel I should apologize for it.

It amazes me sometimes what lengths people will go to just to play with other people's emotions! I mean come on, we're not puppets for Heaven's sake!:( :roll:

That joke was almost as cruel as the one about the chopped-up SPAS cages...






...Actually, it wasn't even close to being as cruel as the SPAS cage joke!!

That joke was created by an insane individual, bent on controlling all our actions!!

Heh better yet if someone could come up with some fun packaging ideas and or box art...(hint hint)...I bet we could find a suitable "Donor PR" to make this little idea reality.

Need access to a large format printer that can print on card stock..heh heh...

Sometimes when doing prototype packaging we'd just print on paper and glue it to a suitable box. But if we had the right kind of file we could just take it to a printer and presto...

Okay, okay, it was me. Matt, Nimmot, Ripper, I humbly apologise. :o

I did artwork for an imaginary Hasbro toy pulse rifle box ages ago, and when that thread came up I couldn't resist it. It was just a joke. I should have known better.

This was the complete thing:

I never tried printing a full-size one, but I did a version of the artwork scaled to fit FNG's model PR, and gave it to another board member. I don't think he ever made one up though. :roll:

The first time I saw that pic a while ago, I scoured the web for hours, checking toy sites for coming soon stuff, to no avail.

After even the most up-to-date websites had no info on the toy pulse, I started taking a long hard look at that pic.;)

I was thinking, "Hmmm... that shroud looks a teensy bit too green... The colours are just a wee bit too vibrant.";)

That's when my suspicions of it being a hoax arose.

It was fun dreaming while it lasted. I would have bought 6 of them no matter the cost!:lol:

All in good fun eh? I guess a 1:1 scale toy motion tracker with mail away bonus tracking tube is next.:lol:

I wouldn’t mind a PR-Clock Radio..:lol:

The counter would be the clock and the speaker could be in the spas cage.

The alarm could be a choice of audio grabs from the movie, of which there are many that are quite applicable.

Or how bout a Motion Tracker-Universal Remote?
Would look nice on the living room table don't you think?
Imagine channel surfing using the motion tracker keypad...:D

Any other ideas on "multi use" Prop ideas?

Hmmm...

Alien bust/toothbrush holder- (inner jaw holds brush, outer holds toothpaste tube).

Torch Welder/magnifying glass playset- set some bugs on fire using our very own Sun.

Smartgun sight/two way radio playset.

Stasus Tube/lava lamp.

Motion Tracker/phone- the "handle" becomes the receiver, tracking screen is the call display screen, keypad is... the keypad. Hey! I really like that idea!

I say we get to work on these! Get Fox on the phone!
