Post subject: Pulse Rifle **sling search, outdated**

Hello Everyone!

Here's a question that I haven't seen asked lately. I've been searching around online for a nice sling for my Pulse Rifles…one olive drab and one black.

Any idea where I can find a sling that's very close to the screen used Pulse Rifle straps? I've come across tons of slings, but none that are 2 inches wide with the right "hook" clasps on the ends.

Any info would be great. I may not be the only one wondering this, so this info may help out others too. Thanks everyone!

Edited by: Willie Goldman at: 4/12/04 3:19 pm

Guys

I am on the hunt for one of these at the right price. If anyone has one they want to part with, or knows of anyone who could be tempted, then do let me know.

You might have to make one yourself. The material is very much like a car seatbelt. I believe there is a board member here who has, or can get some in OD green.

The strap from a standard two quart canteen has been suggested, as well as this off the shelf alternative:

G.I. Double hook sling

Hope this helps.:)

Actually, that strap at actiongear IS the 2 quart canteen strap that I mentioned in another thread... about this same subject. ;)

It's what I've used on my PR and it works well, and is plenty long enough so you can sling the rifle over your shoulder while wearing armor.

The only thing better would be the thin nylon OD seatbelt webbing that was mentioned. You could probably cut the webbing off the canteen strap and use the seatbelt material to get an accurate reproduction, but you'd better have access to a machine that will sew material like that.

This one was bought from a market stall in Vietnam, Apparently actual US army straps, they are imprinted with the usmc very faded , they look old so add to the "used feel" of the weapon, dont know if that helps or not ive only got a couple left but use them on the froniter kits i build so they arnt for sale...sorry..have ya tried an army and navy store
