I think I just may. As you can see it takes 6 AA batteries. This is the same black battery holder found at any "Radio Shack". You can also see that there is a blue 9v connector snapped into it. (also the same as the RS holder) Sooo... I believe it can be powered by either source. But, I'm not sure if 9volts is enough to power the Reflecta lamp (?) |

Hi TS Nice find, I'm very jealous. The Reflecta lamp is mains powered (or the one I got was anyway) so you will need to change the bulb. I used a 12v Halogen bulb but you could put anyone that you like in so the voltage shouldn't be an issue. Darren |

The SU lamp has plastic covering the ID sticker and screw. So to make it 100% accurate you would have to cover those up. I had to check this out on mine as I didn't remember that screw being present at all. |

Very cool. I was rooting for a good outcome. Glad to see that it finally happened. Can I ask (if you don't mind) to toss up a couple pics of the alernate packaging? Also, do you know the difference between the two sensors? I'm sure I knew at one time, but it now escapes me. |

the first one with the multi-faceted fresnel lense is Passive Infrared (PIR) I'd recon that the second one with the mesh covering is microwave. Edited by: [url=http://p220.ezboard.com/bthealienslegacy.showUserPublicProfile?gid=wdimagineer2b>WDImagineer2b[/url] at: 1/26/07 8:34 pm |

Yep. In the old days it was microwave. Now-a-days, the standard is PIR (Passive InfraRed), but on some current hi-end detectors they have both. This cuts down false alarms from small animals and pets. Here you go TS826, My packaging was really trashed when I received it. Here's some picts before it goes into the trash. It didn't come with any manuals or instructions.
