The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Yeap. Appears not correct.

It shares a similiar bag construction though. I guess I'll have
to make one up.

Anybody got a still of the scene in the
elevator that T1305 is talking about?

Another question? How is that vp70 holster attached to
Frost? It looks like it's hanging there.

Matt

I think Frost has his Holster on the webbing from the Ab Pad instead of his main belt. At least that's how it looked to me when I watched it last.

Yeah, sorry about that everyone. :o

To be honest I thought Frost and Dietrich used the same bag as the one Ripley uses in the elevator. It was only when it came to light that the guy Friendlyskies found was selling the wrong type of bags that I checked my reference material.

Well at least the S6 bag was used in the movie at some point.

You guys can all play Ripley now. :P

Here's a better look at Frost's bag (taken from the extras disc of the Quadrilogy):

And Dietrich's:

Mine arrived from the ebay guy yesterday, and it is an S6. Probably thanks to the warning from you guys and my little reminder to the seller. ;)

It's brand spanking new (or new old stock), a dull green nylon.

The clip is the right kind for the PR sling but there's only one, as it loops through a D-ring on the other side.

So now we're saying the S6 isn't right after all? You guys are killing me!

See Dom, I am sooo easily pleased...hmmm, though I guess you knew that!! ;) :D 8)

I know you haven't heard it in awhile...

No bag for me! Got this message today from the ebay guy.

I am very sorry but despite our best efforts we have been unable to obtain further supplies of the S6 resi bags. We do have plain green S10 bags in which are very similar if you wanted that as an alternative. Anyway, I have just refunded the full amount back to your paypal account. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. Regards, Jon.

Regards, Thomas

After looking at the picts, nobody is going to find this bag.

It is a simpliflied scaled-up version of that s6 gas mask bag.

So, go out and buy: 420 Denier OD Nylon, 1in webbing,

OD poly binding, 1in webbing slides (58 web kit), and a 1in OD

turn-buckle. Wha-Lah, you have a frost ammo pouch.

My two cents as a soft-goods designer.

A relativly easy project for someone with some sewing machine skill.

Oh and BTW, I think the word you're looking for is "Voilà" ;)

Could the bags carried by Frost and Dietrich be for the binoculars used by Apone?

Someone just posted this thread on the RPF and the bag for the Simrad rangefinder looks a lot like the ones Frost and Dietrich carry.

Food for thought possibly? It makes sense to use something like that if it's lying around.

Damn Harry,

You may be right on that.

Snap buckle exchanged to cam buckle.

The edges on the gussets seem to have external

binding versus hidden seams on your reference picts.

I don't think it is... though it could be Dietrich's medical haversack?
