The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all,

Had a bumper day today - Ab pad and grenades delivered, the 30 mins later my helmet band and rubber knife turned up!

So, a quick question about the ab pad straps - not entirely clear from the photo's i've seen - do the straps go behind the whole pad, or between the pad and ab armour? ( on Harry's site, the Dietrich pad looks like it has two femal buckles either end, but i cant make out the webbing.)

Complete belt around the waist with side release buckles on both sides.

Thong strap loops on the back, with a cam buckle at the familly jewels.

Did you get a Spat pad?

My Spat pad only had one buckle; at the left side of the waist/belt.

The thong strap is riveted to the crotch plate and has the loop at the other end to feed the waist band through it at the back.

Here it is at a later date showing the original straps, after I'd attached some braces (suspenders) to stop it slipping down:

An alternative to suspenders to prevent slipping... I have velcro on mine that attaches to the rear side of my chest plate. Works like a charm.

That's a good tip Dom, thanks!

And Thanks to Matt for the diagram. I have one of your Ab kits, and after owning one of Spats completed units I was wondering why
the webbing wasn't attached. :)

Question answered, problem solved.

FYI , for the crotch strap, all or some elastic is a must, mine is all elastic and I can move it asside to unrinate. Also helps when squatting down
