Post subject:  Prop Parts: Colonial Marine Helmet (ear protector)

I had asked in another thread, but it was OT to the original question. So, I thought I'd give it it's own topic.

I'm hoping that someone might know the brand and/or model number of the original earmuff?

So far, Peltor is the only company that I've found
with ear protectors using the side mounted wire frame and the segmented nylon headband.
Although, even they do not seem to have a style earcup that matches the original.

These are about the closest I've found:

I have seen the pic of the original, unmodified ear protector.
Does anyone know what brand it is?
I feel it is a big part of the look of the helmet and would really like to track down an original.

I am and will continue searching.

If anyone does have any information on these, maybe they can send me an email to help point me in the right direction?

tk826@midwestgarrison.com

Brand name, date of production ... anything would be helpful.

It would also really help to save those of us who are looking many hours of otherwise needless searching.

If anyone feels the above ear protectors would be a decent choice,
here are the links to find them:

The first one is made by Peltor, model # H9A

The second is made by Wolfcraft, and are the professional grade ear defenders:

Wolfcraft also makes a standard grade ear defender that might be a good choice:

I used a set of Mastercraft ear defenders that looked pretty close. I'll try to find the model number.

Ummm... could usedmickeymouse please explain why he posted that link? It seemed pretty pointless.
