Thanks Stephan, hicks2012's pics seem to be working for me now. Must have been a problem with my server. So does the on/off switch just turn on the light, or does it make the IR sight flip down as well? Looks great! A lot of work but worth the effort I'm sure!:D Kevin The Sarge's Site Sarge's Pics "Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. Hello sarge, When you press the release the IR sight flips down and the LED's light up at the time. Cheers, Neil |

That does look really good. I've been studying the original IR mechanism for a while now and drawing up plans to create as closely as I can the same type of assembly. One question... Do you happen to have a pic of the lens frame, showing the piece that fits into the two tracks? Because finding a clear and/or bright movie still of the lens frame is nearly impossible, recreating the frame is one of the large factors holding me back. |

Post subject: | Re: My IR release mechanism. |
Hello Kaiser10, The frame and release mechanism was built from scratch using basic materials like aluminum and thin plastic sheeting. The IR lens was built by a very good friend from me who is very talented in such things and to whom I have a lot of respect for, and therefore gave him my word never to give any secrets away about this I hope you understand. Thank you for your understanding. All the best, Neil Edited by: at: 11/23/03 8:31 am |
