The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I took some photos off of the alien anthology bluray in the archives section. I am hoping that Randy Faulk at Neca will find these useful. I have been wanting to see neca create this particular figure for a long time.

Notice the Weyland Yutani symbol on the top of the commando's giant back pack. I tried to tweak the lighting in the photo to capture some details.

You can also notice the decals and some wording on the back of the commando helmet.

Hope Randy and others find these useful. :-). Here's to neca making this happen!

Wow, I'd never noticed the writing! Does it say "ANIMAL"?

I too have been hoping this figure would get made. I would buy multiple figs to make a captured Queen diorama.

That is very "Marine" of them. Does this mean the USCM are funded by Weland and the unit we follow in Aliens just happens to be a very "rouge" bunch and the company didn't mind losing them?

A frontal photo. Hopefully this thread can be the go to place for NECA and othe fans of the WY Commando. I appreciate if others out there who have rare unique photos of this cool character, including the actual prop helmet or replicas to please feel free to post the photos here.

Cheers

Here are some more photos of the weyland yutani commando, some up close shots of the back of the commando, WY camer man, and dog catcher. Might as well have all the archive photos in one place. I like the cool details in the back of his helmet as well as the weyland yutani insignia on the commando's backpack. I also never realized he has tubes running out of the bottom to the backpack around his waist. I wonder what was the practicality for including that design around the waist?

Best/clearest photo of the Weyland Yutnai Commando's back

It would be cool if Randy Faulk at Neca would design a 5 piece box set that include two commandos, a scientist, dog catcher, and camera man.

Last photo..I tried to highlight and details at could not be gleaned for my earlier photo so I posted.

Retrograde, you can clearly see the "l" in the back of the commando helmet that spells "animal".

Enjoy all, and please feel free to post some great new commando photos in this thread.

What kind of grenades do they have on their sleeves? The same as USCM Marines or something different?

Anyone have picts of that rusty grenade kicking around ebay a few years ago?

I seem to remember that it had possible A3 origins.

They've probably used to be former and now hired Marines. Why not getting the best to do the job for the Weyland company?
Also the suit itself reminds me to be a tribute to the Nostromo space suits from the first movie. There are probably recasted parts built into the new suit.
