Dan - do you know which PR that one is?

The Latta one?

Do you mind showing that full color shot again?

Dan, are these two Sotheby's Pulse Rifle's the same? The one I labelled, "Gamma" or the "Icons" rifle?

Don't know if it was mentioned but the green you see under the black on the Delta model appears to be the 'olive' green they painted on it for the USCM Tech manual photo shoot... So the sub surface green is not an example of the screen used color.

Matt - hey, yeah, you're right... I think the Tech Manual one is the one Lawrence Nathan commissioned to be constructed from original components after the film wrapped, hence the wooden grip. Ironically I can't find any photos of it at the moment - maybe someone can scan it from the tech manual?

I'm pretty sure Delta is the Propstore one seen on their site here:

I only have the PDF version of the TM and the pic is unacceptably blurry when I try to copy it, someone has to have a decent hard copy.

This is the best I could get,

The first one (1992) is the Icons.

The 1994 is not the Icons...The color polaroid photo needs cutting out, that is the 1994, the 1992 is there in that photo as it was in my scrapbook when I scanned them.

The 1994 one then? Which is that? So confused...

The 1994 Sotheby's had no magazine or magazine base (it was a piece of wood)...the Spas cage was filled with a rubber insert.

Hrmm, okay - that begs the question then, where is the 1994 Sotheby's today then? Anyone know?

I found that picture a long time ago maybe at the old Aliens Legacy board or elsewhere. Unfortunately I don't really remember much about where I found it although I think there were some crappy airsoft pulse rifle mockup pictures there too. It certainly looks like it is a real, original pulse rifle.

It's got the same checkered pattern on it like maybe they were bad scan jobs? Also note it has the same circle with a characters in it. I believe the picture of the disassembled rifle was upside down and I flipped it.

Here's another interesting photo I found a looong time ago as well. For some reason I remember it being associated with ADI, the special fx company. It almost looks like it could be a real PR. Timestamp on the file is Wednesday, ‎February ‎23, ‎2000, ‏‎12:55:36 AM, so it's very old so it's not any of the newer replicas you see floating around, and it's obviously not an SD Studios replica going off of the shroud and grip.

Looking at the angles on the shroud I'd say that could be an early SD version.

Yeah, the one shown with the Alien Resurrection rifle is an EARLY SD, if not the first.
