I got some work done on this today!

First, I unscrewed and cut off the parts I didn't need from the squirt gun. I also measured and cut one of my spare handle templates to fit this smaller flame thrower.

I then attached the fuel tank, fit the new handle and secured it with three screws, and puttied up the openings. I actually used old Play-Doh as a gap filler first, and then finished the outside with two-part epoxy. I also added two eyelets to the top and a canteen strap I used to have on my PR before upgrading to a Matt Noble strap.

I still need to finish the top, add a second section of ribbing to the fuel tank, a trigger, and then paint the black bits black. All in all this has cost me less than $20 and hardly weighs anything. I'm really hoping I can get me son to a Con next year for the 30th all kitted out and armed with this!

Nice job Retro. I'm starting sourcing all my parts now and am using your build as a template of what to do. The nozzle looks like it was an adapted part on the original. Do you know if anyone ever figured out what the original part was or did they catch build it on a machine shop?
