The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Like the title says- sound off that you made back all right.

Pulled in tonight around 10:45pm after a 16 hour drive.

My apologies to anyone I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to on Sunday night - you all know how chaotic the con can be, and I turned in early due to leaving at 7am Monday.

This year definitely had the ups and downs of a roller coaster. I'll post more later.

Pfc. Taylor, 2LT Rodriguez, and myself are back on station in Orlando, safe and sound. Another drop survived... time to paint some more notches on my M-56.

Tarim-Rex, Hellkat, Chryse, Reaper, Michelle, Prophet, Nightwitch, Dogboy and Mike are all caravaning back together. No ETA as of yet, though Chryse said it would be late. If I'm still up and he doesn't, I'll give you guys they heads up as they start filtering in.

Chryse was down and clear at about 12:30 this morning, if I was reading the clock right. (Don't worry, roommie, you didn't wake me.) That should mean everyone else was D&C about midnight, but I'm sure they'll be checking in once they wake up.

After a nail in a tire and a stripped lug nut adding 3 hours to a 12 hour trip, Cpl. Schwartz landed alive. I share the post con blues with Rex but relief is there in thinking about what a badass time I had with you guys (and gals Angie) again this year. Now, I have 12 months to work on Cari's bug.

All is quiet on the Eastern Front!

PVB down and clear. :)

My sister and bro-in-law collected me from the aorport, then I got them to take me to the llama park on the way back, so I could cheer myself up a bit after a not too great D*Con, due to ill health and a broken camera.

Very sorry to hear about your camera Steve. You weren't feeling well in Atlanta?

I haven't been 100% for over three years with an ongoing (undiagnosed) kidney-related issue.

It's usually pretty mild (and was at last year's D*Con) but flares up from time to time and picked Sunday to really go to town. :|

I'm back home with a standard case of Con Crud. Unfortunately I'm watching the football on TV.

Gives me time to sort out Abe I suppose.

Let Abe out of his cage and I'm sure he'll be fine in no time. Cocooning the neighbors happily. ;)

Not as bad a trip home as some. Flight was delayed because they decided to change 2 tires.
Then after getting to Minnesota, I learned that in GPS-speak "Shortest distance" does NOT equal
"fastest time." A 4.5 hour return drive took me 6.5 hours, getting me home at 10:30 last night.

I finally solved this for myself... HYDRATE! Did anyone not see me chugging on my preferred beverage at all times? I was drinking about 2 liters of liquid a day... feel like a million bucks now.

Uhuh, I hydrate till my tits weep (with hydration salts often). On my most hellish day (in Belgium), I drank 20 litres. Even in the Alien costume, I aim for clear or real light urine.

This year, I was very non-alcoholic for a Brit too.

The Clangers down and safe Wednesday evening.

Plane landed early but the coach was late

Got to Taunton and borrowed Bazfish's SuperVan and after some 'issues' and help from the Aqurium boys, got it on the road to Honiton. Dropped the suitcases at ours, dropped the SuperVan back to Fish's place and finally touched down at about 20:00.

Ate food, went to bed and slept lots!

Great seeing all the guys and girls again :D , and a great time had at the con.

Take care,

The Clangers
