I'm curious about something. How does a convention like Big Apple, who normally can only only TNA wrestling chicks, unknown models and extras in movies, suddenly able to blackmail celebrities like Linda Hamilton, Adam West, Ioan Gruffudd , Kelly Hu and Willem Defoe to coming to their convention? Even the list of lower tier celebs is quite shocking, not to mention how many of them will be attending. I've never even heard of so many well known actors attending even attending New York Comicon, much less the Big Apple Con, which has always been a tiny venue. There's a huge difference between those two.

The Big Apple Con you knew and loved in the past was taken over by Wizard Entertainment.

And yes, they have Spat.

The Big Apple Con of the past is now dead, and from the ashes rises a grand flaming figure (not Spat, he's a different flamer), a Phoenix of immense power. This bigger and better Big Apple Con has new leadership and staff. Gone is the day of the tiny 2 room venue it used to be. The new con will soon be a force to be reckoned with and with Spat at the helm, it will devour all in its path. MuWahahhahaahahahaa!!

Seriously, the new Big Apple is shaping up to be a REAL convention. The owners see how awesome DragonCon is, and will hope to mirror some of its greatness.
