The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I think I just died and went to the afterlife.

I always hoped my afterlife would be exactly like DragonCon, but better. And now it is.

Clanger just gave me the heads up with a pm.

I nearly busted my head on the ceiling!

I planned on bringing my WOK uniform this year regardless as I did feel it was a big mistake to leave it at home last year. I've made some minor improvements making it look as screen accurate as possible.

And now I'm going to meet my God in it!

I feel drunk.

I would guess that he requires a specialist photographer to deal with the shine. From his dome or his arse, you decide! ;)

Hmm, I wonder if I should introduce Abe to Felicia Day. She's not on his list, but she's his type ...

I'd love to book one of those with Ron Glass, but they don't give a time of the shoot, or do they run all day and I can just turn up anytime before close at 7pm? :|

Not sure, but they did the same thing at ECCC and each star was at the photo book for about an hour, or so, throughout the day and they did multiple photo shoots, but we only had 6 stars at the time

I very much doubt he sets the fee for that himself!

I'm sure the numbers are limited because of demand, also the price has to pay for the photographer and has to cover the time slot in terms of income that he'd normally be generating by doing regular signing - again related to his appearance fee and expenses.

Okay, thanks. :)

Edit: Booked for the Friday, so that at least gives me the day when the least is happening (AL related). :)

I know Froggy personally and let me say this: His prices are split 3 ways.

- Froggy
- The Convention
- The Actor or Agent

So for a $60 photo op, Froggy only gets $20. More than likely with the issues on the one linked site it's the con jacking up the cost.

Were these guys there last year?

Last year I just went up to the autograph table and had my pic taken with Edward Olmos/ Mike Hogan etc. Is it s case of - if they are listed on that site then you CAN'T get a pic with them at their table and if they are NOT listed on the site then you CAN? Cos there's no frakkin way I'm paying $250 to have my photo taken with all the BSG cast that will be there

Cheers

Darren

I haven't a clue how this works Darren. This will be my 7th D-Con and I've always just had my picture taken with a star with my own camera (when they allow it) at the Walk of Fame (where they sell their 8x10s).

This sounds like a professional photoshoot. Guess you are paying for a quality picture (perhaps more than one?)- probably like when you had your pic taken for the highschool yearbook?

Generally it's a professional one-on-one photo with the star against a backdrop. Froggy then prints up the phot for you at the con so you can go get it autographed.

I understand the service that Froggy provides. We have the same thing over here. One on one, nice backdrop, printed pic etc etc but I prefer not to pay £20 for the pic and then another £20 for the autograph. I take my own pics. Print them myself at a local store (or my printer if I take it) and then get the celeb to sign said photo. MUCH CHEAPER.

I'm just concerned that any guests who appear on Froggy's list will not be offering the opportunity to take a pic with them at their signing table like normal.

Cheers

Darren
