The Red Coats are coming! THE RED COATS ARE COMING! Our UK brothers are already mustering up their numbers, so not to be outdone... and after all, it's our continent... who's up for another colony drop? I know that Cpl Smith has mentioned that the 15 minute walk to the hotel has been hard on his knees, so he may have to reconsider... but here's hoping he pops in. Sound off Marines! Do I need to post here?
Actually after I got back and dropped into work to check my schedule I had a chat with my boss about how my vacation was and how things were at the store (I work in the Hot Deli section of a supermarket). She tells me that it was chaotic the first week back to school- so busy it drove her nuts and that I picked a good week to be off. Then she goes on to say how next year she's gonna take her vacation over the Labour Day weekend so she can have it off and I can go through the chaos at work. Which would mean no D-Con for me if she's serious. 
I didn't really say anything but I was panicking inside. Basically I don't care what it would take- I have to have the Labour Day weekend off no matter what! Anyway when I returned to work this week I non chalantly asked about booking my vacation time next year since I have to do it within the next couple of months. She hasn't given me a straight answer yet, but I'm pretty sure I can swing it so I can have the week off before Labour Day (allowing me to do to D-Con), and come back to work on Tuesday like everybody else (which would give her the "back to school week" off). Trust me... I'll be at D-Con even if I have to get a new job in the process.
