The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I can't believe the list I have so far. Criminey, I need 3-4 more days at DCon!

My schedule so far-

Thursday night- something, possibly Deckard from Blade Runner
Friday Morning- Choices incluce: Gotham SWAT / Winter Soldier
Friday Afternoon- Warriors of the Wasteland
Friday Night- not sure, loads of options- mebbe BSG Viper Pilot

Saturday Morning and Afternoon- Colonial Marines!!!

Saturday Night- Judge Dredd- Movie Version (Group) Late night BSG Viper Pilot

Sunday Morning- not sure- Gotham SWAT/ Winter Soldier or ?
Sunday Afternoon- Depending on transport of outfits-
Starship Troopers

Sunday Evening-
Sunday Night-

Choices include- Deckard / Gotham SWAT / Winter Soldier / USCM Dress Blues

Left out, can't believe they haven't or may yet make the cut-
Batman / Endor Commando / Cyclops / Gondorian Ranger
Deathstar Construction Supervisor / Jayne Cobb / Mal Reynolds

Will post pics this weekend of the Gotham SWAT. Winter Soldier is what happened to Captain America's partner Bucky- when the rocket blew up, they were both frozen in the ice at the end of WWII. Cap was found in the 60's by the Avengers, thawed out and took his place amongst heroes. Bucky was presumed dead.

What happened to him was the Russians found him, did not restore his memory, gave him a bionic left arm and sent him on covert assinations around the globe for years. Flash forward to this past year, and Viola! He's got his memory back...so on and so on. Wears black bdu pants, flak vest, pistol, rifle, long or moderate length hair (got wigs!) and Bucky style mask.

And, what's on your plate for DCon08?

JEEBUS, Rex!

It's just the two for me this year...
-BattleStar Galactica Deckhand
-Colonial Marines Smartgunner

3 guesses which one I'm spending most of my time in, and the first two don't count.

I was going to do a Jack Harkness costume but didn't realize how gay he was... er, how expensive the coat was.

I want to bring my SST Mobile Infantry, but I don't have pants for it. :(

So sad for me.

I guess just Marine armor, and maybe a BSG off duty outfit. I'm a very lazy costume maker.

Though I may wear a Trenches Costume if the movie comes out before the convention.

I got my Marine gear of course and my Joe get-ups. My Spartan gear will get worn once, or thrice, to be sure as well. I try to keep it to two a day at most. Any more and I'm spending all my time changing and not chilling.

Colonial Marine is the only one I'll have for sure.

I'm working on a Warriors of the Wasteland one, although I haven't gone too far yet; and I have another project I shall not name for now, but I hit a snag when my designated tailor turned out to be a bit unreliable. Now I have to find someone else. Meh.

More that that, I don't think so - I do have to fit them all in a plane. Although I suppose I could bring the Harry Dresden bits for a quick extra one.

USCM Marine!! Excited about that one.

Some customized Sandtrooper variation just for the Con.

Hopefully something else new and original as a pair with my wife (we can't agree yet.)

Fireflyish type jayne inspired something

If it where not Hot'lanta could do the scary

I'll most definitely be bringing whatever Colonial Marine gear I can scrape together by then and wearing that most of the time. The rest of the time I will be wearing my Commander Vill clone trooper armor. I think I might just have to do the unthinkable (as far as I am concerned, at least) and leave my biker scout armor at home this time around.

Now, I'm not baiting here or anything, just genuinely interested... but why on Earth would you dress as an SS infantryman at DragonCon?

No Clue why I would they are just the costumes I have here at the moment.

Though I have seen some photo's of the reenactment guys there. If I had afrika corp it would be easy to do a indy approach.

Most likely I will be limited to the USCM ( no option there )
and the Imperial officer, possibly the firefly stuff. Due to lack of room in the Honda civic after getting the wife and kids in. LOL
