The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Alright last one for tonight. I am not happy with the 3D effect on the letters so I will increase it. Still playing with getting BDU colors in and were to place them. I think you get the idea. I will try to add the facehugger in tomorrow or Friday. I have a late night meeting with a supplier in Singapore Thursday so I do not see much getting done between Wednesday and Friday night. Again give your feedback.

Thanks!

Greg

Personally, I think maybe make the "C" a little more pronounced at the expense of the "M". Also maybe thicken up the letters, throw them like 'bold' style.

Who else is around? guess we should do something to make it official, ill see whats up with having pt hes made or something. or maybe a conpany that embroiders the iscm patch in different colors could do a cusrom color scheme for us. like completely red and black or something. or blue.

was goin for red, just a quick mockup to get some ideas flowing. Just wanna see what drastic ideas we could come up with.

Perhaps the earth becomes the sun. an an icarus reference. or we change it to look like dagobah? ect. or maybe just the patch border color changes or even becomes yellow and black hazard tape. things that describe our group but only if its explained toi someone.

Orange is the UT color. Blaze orange would fit better with the whole bug hunt ideal so both purposes are served there.

Threw in red for a target or targeting reticule.

I am not big on changing the eagle or tint as we will still be USCM. I am all about making a round patch.

Thanks!

I'm cool with a round patch.
I found this company that does waterslide decals for bikes, cosplay ect. . seem to have a great reputation.
I liked how the marine raiders here did that patch on the shoulder tab but a heavy and durable waterslide decal could look really awesome on armor. Here is the website I found. https://www.bedlamcreations.com/custom- ... de-decals/

Not that i am in your guys battalion, but imo i think the division patch should match all other USCM units. Battalion patches can be whatever. Again, my 2 cents

Yeah I was thinking ship patch and unit logo (that would be more custom/deviate more heavily, and may be an additional patch or commonly used graffiti). I don't really want to mess with the eagle either. The waterslide decal of our eventual logo sounds very promising.

With my son's football season over (where I was a coach) and family Halloween costumes behind us, I should have my evenings back! Hope to contribute more to this goal in the near future.

Just had this thread brought to my attention, great to see what you all are coming up with. My platoon is out of Charlotte, NC. We've been a unit for about six years and I personally have been
doing these shenanigans since we all used to post on Spat's forum in 1997. So stoked to see the Southeast getting organized! Looking forward to meeting a lot of you all.

Sounds good! Could probably get a fire team to it, Raleigh is not far at all.

I plan on talking to Rob at Farpoint later on this month about suggestions. I really like what the Bravo guys got set up.

Thanks!
