The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

By chance, might there be any California USCM members who currently own Spatcave armor? I ask because the price tag s a bit high and I really wanted to get an in person impression of the armor and possibly take measurements and if possible, perhaps try on (just the chest armor) to judge if the armor is a suitable fit. Trying the armor is not a requirement, but seems wise to do before shelling 500+ dollars out for something that may not fit. I am currently 6.1 tall and have a broad shoulder build. Not morbidly obese, but not a twig either. Please offer any assistance if you can. Thank you.

Spat armor is pretty close to a one size fits all armor. One of the UKCM members is close to 6'6" and it fits him fine. And all the straps are adjustable.

I can also attest to the sizing, bought my spat from my buddy. I'm around 210 and he's 30 or so lighter then me and it fits fine.

The plastic can also be (carefully) heated and bent for a custom fit.

If the price tag's a bit high for you, this may not be the right fandomf for you yet. Spat's armour is the best value for quality vs. price.

The price tag is affordable, but not if it turns out to be a bust. That's why I hesitate. I can grab the armor, but I'm going to hate myself should the armor not fit. Essentially I want to avoid wasting my money if the fit is incorrect.

I don't know if this'll help you or not, but I've seen Marines of all shapes, sizes, and genders wearing Spat armor and they all looked good in it, and comfortable too. I don't own a set myself but I've worn a friend's set and it only took a few quick, minor adjustments for size differences. If you haven't already done so I'd suggest contacting Spat directly about any specific concerns/questions you have about getting a proper fit.

Why don't you just ask Spat directly? I know he is currently working on leg armour for taller peeps. We come in all shapes and sizes and we can make it work. :)
