The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I have discovered Alan Dean Foster is the guest of honor at "Mystic-con" in Roanoke VA this coming April 27th-March 1st.

Does the man who did the novelizations of the first 3 films deserve the award? If so, is it worth it to try and catch him for the presentation at this event?

I am willing to make every effort if it is warranted.

Right on! There are fun little tidbits in his novels (especially the first two) that flesh out some scenes from the films and show that he was having fun writing them.

And "Ski" in a speaking roll!

EDIT: Fyi, I did tweak the title to actually indicate the 'drop'.

I just checked out the Mystic con site and it says that Alan Dean Foster is unable to attend. Too bad, I live in Raleigh which is only 3 hours from Roanoke. It would have been cool to participate in an award presentation.
