The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It's solid resin and not particularly special, but I'll have one you can borrow.

Sure thing. I'll give it to you at color guard practice (or whatever extra early prep session is scheduled).

You mean to tell me after all this time you STILL don't have a VP-70? That's the wrong answer, Drill Master....

*** by the way Bigbison, part of the rifle escort uniform is to have a VP-70 and white holster. But we can forgive you this year. ;)
(I might have an extra. I'll try to bring for you to use, but if you lend yours to Dom, we need to locate another VP-70)

Well that is a twist I didnt expect! But no worries I actually have one of those dart gun VPs I was saving for my kid's costume (leaving it crazy colors). I can easily paint it black with cheap wash off paint in the visible areas, so I do have 2 VPs already.

Is there an "offiicial" white holster or design? The one from the pic looks kind of elaborate, but I bet I could build one real quick and on the cheap from craft store materials if I am allowed some wiggle room on the design.

It's a Hungarian Makarov Police holster, but it's been modified to fit VP-70. Google it for reference photos, but again, I had to modify it. A little cutting and pop rivets.

Looks like this is my winner.

*EDIT*

I did bid, but was quickly outbid. I don't plan to get in a bidding war for it unless someone chimes in that I absolutely need to bring it for the good of the future of the parade gear (because I would obviously leave it with the rest of the color guard stuff).

I have a Tanio Koba VP70 and two Imperical cap gun replicas... but thanks to Canadian replica weapon laws, I can't bring them back to Canada with me. And considering who my employer is, it's not worth the chance.
