He sees the skull and says "That's great but you need the love knot" and points the pauldron I'm pulling back to reveal I do indeed have it but with "Angie" instead of "Louise" as I replied "Oh I have it, but with my wife instead of yours" and he beams and I beam and he squeezes Ang's hand and then she's beaming while he says "Oh we're getting this picture!" and he just ignores his handler and grabs us both to look at the camera. I love the fact that the "Angie" tag is so prominent. After a year and a half of promoting ACM this was a great send off...NYCC was bittersweet and filled with more than a few tears at the end of it all but I wouldn't have changed a damn thing.

His manager lady was *not* nice and tried to block us from asking for a photo. BUT I did it anyways and he said as he looked at me, "Awe, come on, we gotta get a picture, they're Colonial Marines!" Then he looked at Chris and had a moment of realization of him being in the grunt armor, then another moment of realization that it was *his* paint job! Then he told Chris he needed the love knot, but Chris showed him he did, indeed, have it, but with my name. Bill turned to me and and smiled and gave my hand a squeeze. Then we jumped in for that amazing picture before he was whisked away by the crabby lady. So magical. I usually don't queen out over celebrities, but I just couldn't contain it for Bill Paxton!

I didn't know anything about the award until I saw the post when we got back home. I wish we could have coordinated that somehow. Whenever that does happen, though, I'm sure he will be moved!

That aliens display was pretty sweet...I wish they had that at SDCC!
