The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

A few years ago, I made a few miniguns for use in a film. For the motor, I used one of the starter motors used to crank the RC planes. I used copper tubes for the barrels and PVC for the body. Mixed all around that where various other componets. I thought I had some pics of one of them, but alas, I did not find them yet, but if I find them, I will post them if anyone wants to use them for reference or seomthing.

Since I'm siding with Team Brony, does that mean I'm back on your Christmas card list? :)

I've been out of the world for a bit, but Tony was kind enough to bring me up to speed with what you clowns are up to this year for DC. ;)

Well, I won't pull any punches here... I just don't like clowns. They've always been creepy to me. They've never made me laugh, and if anything, they've usually scared the hell out of the kids around me -- so I've always known that they just 'aren't right'.

That said, the moment I read about those of you wanting to build mini-guns to accessorize said creepy clown outfits, I said to myself...

I'M IN!

This definitely sounds like it'll be a lot of fun!

I have almost got everything for my Captain Spaulding costume. The big thing I am missing is the pants. I want large white polka dots on a blue field. I can find red everywhere but no blue. I am also looking at the Uncle Sam jacket and hat. How is everyone else coming along?

Thanks!

Got my makeup in the mail today. Never put any makeup before so I had to try it out. It works but there are many things I will change. I plan on doing this several times more before DragonCon to get the hang of it. The challenge will be taking it off drunk. It is great that the makeup looks dingy in the movie so it does not have to be great. I will post again when I get my shirt. My hair, what is left, will also be buzzed shorter than now.

Anyone else have pics? How many are going to do this?

Thanks!

The shirt has arrived. Now to wear it to the gym everyday and wash it so it does not look new. Got a jacket coming now for the pants.

Thanks!

Jacket and shoes have arrived. Have to remove the buttons and replace them with stars. Also have to add flag cuffs and change/add flag material to the collar. Here is the shirt and jacket. Going out of town this weekend but will be doing another makeup test next week.

Thanks!

Update

Looks like everything has arrived.
Image

The pant material came in and the blue is lighter and thinner than I wanted but it will do. Now to try and talk someone into helping me make pants out of them. I am also adding stars to the jacket. I think I am going with the small hat instead of the larger one. Will make that this week. If anyone else is still doing this I want to see your pics.

Thanks!

Greg

Gman!!! Superb!!!!

I've got most of my Ruthless Ronald McDonald stuff from last year. Twin machetes, half mask, wig, red/ white pirate socks for me arms and legs, unless I decide to buy the "actual" Ronald costume- instead of trying to find yellow clothing to modify. Got the Burger King mask to stuff to hang off my green h harness, still trying to find a white ball for Jack's head. Need to buy red sneakers

We're still looking at Friday Night for this group
